yes she is thanks, but its not a thing young kids should see

no your right, i thought the police or paramedics would've had the body covered up, and as long as shes ok then thats all you should be concerned about.

depends if they had got there or not. im assuming as people where driving past that they hadnt

im more sory for your daughter, im fed up with idiots speeding on the roads on tehir bikes.

no we cant see yoou

no we dont fooking care how noisy your bike is, slow the fook down

Sorry to hear that your daughter saw some upsetting things, but please bear in mind that there is at least three upset families out there right now.

Fair enough - you were inconvenienced today, but I am quite sure the riders didn't plan it.

Every time there is a bike accident, people are happy to climb on the soap box. Why is there never the same response when a spotty yoof ploughs his saxo through a junction or when some drunk tit in a mondeo parks on top of a pushchair.

I admit that a lot of accidents are rider error, but they are exactly that - accidents.

Do you have inside information on the accidents?, because the story makes it look like the police need witnesses - ie, need to find out what happened.

Even the guy who hit the parked car could have swerved to avoid something (like a child) or had a mechanical failure.

I am not trying to defend three dead men, but a lot of us on here ride too, and it sucks to see that if we were to have an accident, the first thing people would do is complain about the diversion!

How about a little compassion, and a thought for the families left behind?

Cheers

the 2 accidents i saw were down to rider error through very excesive speeding the one guy hit a parked car and hurt the people inside was he thinking about them, the guy at the round about could of hit a car or another biker was he thinking about them, i am a biker mate so dont think its a pop at them its people like this that give bikers a bad name and make car drivers pissed at bikers, and this is what made a woman to try and ram my brother off his bike while doing his test because "all bikers are idiots"

Fair comment - I agree some fools do give us all a bad name, and yeah if they were acting like ar5eholes, then it is inevitable things will go tits up.

My point was really that we all need to take responsibility for our actions, and like I said, I was not trying to defend them. Every day we climb in or on some proper powerfull machines, and I think we owe it to ourselves, our families, and everyone around us to think what we are in control of.

You are right about the image thing - bikers with excessively loud pipes speeding through a village are just as bad as boy racers in their "performance" cars. Both cause their respective peers to become targets for rozzers and the general public.

Everybody needs to get their act together before the UK nanny state clamps down on everything that is fun.

Sorry for sounding a bit off, but it did seem like the typical anti-bike rant at first.

I came off my bike at 70 and that wasn't my fault it was a mechanical failure, as was said abot who knows what actually happen.

There is also quite a few bike accidents happen because of car drivers error i.e I was pulling out of the junction and didn't see the bike coming up the road etc

Bikes are seriously fast today and you can ride well over 100 miles an hour without any effort, its not an excuse for riding foolishly but it happens, and to end up dead I am sure is not what they would have planned, as a biker I have recently seen an increase in the amount of people on mobile phones and one driver nearly had me on a roundabout two weeks ago because his phone call was more important than my life, accidents happen, personally my thoughts go to the families they left behind and your daughter for having to see such a thing.

yep bikes are seriously quick, most 1000cc will hit 80 in 1st gear that only takes about 4 seconds. Theres no room for error at that kinda acceleration.

now you say that you've reminded me of something funny, i was out on the back of my mates R1 and someone done that to him whilst driving his porsche, he soon cought the guy up and started waving his fist in the air, the guy in the porshe give us the finger so he soon got a boot in his door, a nice big dent for the ar**hole to pay for :xxx::dance:

must admit most bikers pi55 me off, they think theres a special lane in the middle of the roads which is theres?? they weave in between traffic then get pi55ed off then a car changes lanes??

dont get me wrong i would love to take my test and own a bike at some point but bikers are so at risk so why ride like dicks??

Bikes are very dangerous and alot of bikers like to drive like they own the road at stupid speeds weaving in and out and overtaking when its not very safe ...

I've had a close mate die and 2 others loose their arm due to motorbikes....

As much as I love bikes I hate them too.... (if that makes sense)

hate to say it mate but their is no law stopping motorcylists filtering in traffic even on the motorways so the weaving is legal admitedly there's always the odd few idiots out there riding and driving

i rode bikes for 20 years untill one sunday afternoon when my best mate took a blind bend at allmost 100 mph and hit a toyota hiace van head on,he was going that fast he pushed the van back which was travelling at 40 mph 20 feet:eek: i came around the bend behind him with 5 others to be confronted by a GSXR 1100 the same size as a television..him embedded into the cab...the van driver smashed to pieces and bits of pauls (RIP) body parts scatterd about the road, not a nice sight at all and i aint rode a road bike since:( btw it was in wigan

I did my CBT and i was going to go all the way and start riding bikes, and then one of my friends came within an inch of his life almost exactly a year ago! A woman pulled out of a junction in front of him and he got thrown into railings. Doctors said he would'nt make it through the night, however he has now just started to walk using crutches for very small periods of time. :) He still needs 24 hour help though and still can't remember months of his life! And still can't talk properly! From that point i thought fook that off, i ain't going anywhere near bikes!!!

I think that most regular bikers are pretty safe.......

......it's the "born again" types, you know the 40+ year old guys having a mid-life crisis. They buy a powerful bike (because they can now afford it after working many years), to re-live their youth and only ride at weekends, treating our rural a & b-roads like race tracks.

Sure I may be out early on a Sunday morning driving my Z on the same roads at 70-80mph; but whilst that is breaking the 60 limit, a Z (or any sports car for that matter) can generally corner neater and safer than a bike!

Yet these middle aged twats still hare past me in packs of half a dozen riders, with scant regard for traffic coming the other way and then need the whole road to take a sweeping curve......

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

those little ****ers on the scooters annoy the hell out of me

I'll second that Allan!

I saw some little chavs on bicycles today taking up the whole road and looking round laughing at the people in the car behind who were being forced to do 10 mph. 3 years on they will be on scooters, 3 years 1 month on will prob be scattered all over the road.

Scares me that those morons will be driving any kind of motorised vehicle at some stage.....
