Guys,

I know ive spoken to a few already about this, but im still not sure.

The kit that has been fitted is:

RPS Street Max clutch

Z1 Flywheel

New release bearing, uprated pivot ball and pilot bushing

Stainless Steel braided clutch line

Work that has been done so far by the garage:

All the bits fitted,

Clutch system bled for a good 3 hours

The adjustment on the clutch pedal box has been "pushed in" to its furthest point.

The symptoms are:

Heavier than usual clutch pedal (espec for the RPS) with No spongeyness

Very difficult to get into gear

When i do get it into gear, the biting point is virtually in the carpet.

Slave cylinder is NOT leaking externally

SO, whats causing the biting point to be so down the pedal travel and the clutch to be heavier than what i remember for an RPS clutch?

over to you

my biting point is the same, about 1 inch off the floor.

Ill race you to find out whats causing it!

The adjustment of the rod on the pedal would make a difference Nick, it can create some weird scenarios if the adjustment is not correct.

I thought clutch biting points got closer to the carpet when they were new and as they wore the biting point raised?

Never knew changing a clutch to cause so many problems:rolleyes: driving me insane, nothing easy on a z:smash: hope mine is ok now and i'll go with the theory that a new clutch has floor biting point;)

I think you need to check some of your terminology there fella, because you cannot adjust the amount of boost your turbos generate via the blow off valve!

Secondly, instead of hijacking an old thread, how about starting a new thread, introduce yourself and try and use some sort of structure to your thread, so we can clearly understand what you are trying to say.

Try starting with some punctuation, and when you're feeling adventurous, throw in the odd paragraph or two.

Nick

like i said i only just got the car and only joined this today and dont no how to strat a thread but when i do no or some 1 tells me i will explaine in more detail ;)

go to bulletin board,>300zx help and advice,> start new thread > insert title , >insert message/query > post!:):)

(more detailed and precise the better)

oh and welcome to the club:D

thank you for that nick,

fair play so i am not very good at puncuation and the layout of what im trying to say but nobody is perfect.

so anyway like i keep saying i got the car about 4 days ago and it is my first 300zx and for that matter my first car that has turbos no my knowlege is very limited.

hence the reason i am hear as you lot have a vast amount of knowlede of these cars.

ok so my problem is my clutch slips under a high load but there is a little blue thing (like a tap) at the front of my engine that i was told is a blow off valve but from what you have said i am incorrect. but anyway i closed the valve off so it didnt release any air thats when the clutch started slipping.

then when i opened it about half way there is no problems with the clutch even reving upto 6000rpm.

and thats my problem as i dont no weather its

the clutch that needs replacing or

if there is air in the clutch fluid

the car came with a bill for a new clutch about 10 months ago

hope you can understand what i mean now thanx for your time and i hope this passes your high standard nick :D

can a mod move this to a new thread for him ?

would be best me thinks 4 responses?

thanx ck i followed your instructions and have started a new thread and ive had loads of help :hyper:
