here are some pic's of the outside and inside ,of my engine after it went bang big time (thank's silverbullet lol)

 

As you can see it's .....broke in a big way ...!!!!!!

 

We now know that it was in 2nd gear doing about 100mph @8700rpm...:shock:

 

one of the piston's look's like a crushed coke can ....

 

the rod's are bend ,the valves are bend and the crank is bend.....and BEST of ALL......

 

THE BLOCK has a massive crack right through the middle of it .....:hyper:

Nah ....the ECU rev limiter ,did not kick in (or was set to high) and the gearbox ,went AAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

why would you.. in an auto :p in 2nd gear it would have been @ that rpm before you know it even if you did notice

didnt know it was an auto.... but even though i'd have heard the engine overrevving by so much.... you'd notice it. I would anyway!

an expensive bit of tomfoolery there wozzer !!.........ahhh well we live and we learn ..........have you tried glueing it together , hide the cracks with masking tape , paint the block, then sell it on ebay as a fully balanced forged super block . LOL ...........

 

Chris ...make note to yourself ..dont buy this engine !!! LOL

In true Blue peter style a bit of double sided sticky tape and pair of vals old knickers should sort that.

in my defence, i will say.... watching the rev counter was the last thing on my mind as Wozzer was slowly dissapearing into the distance on a streatch of the M5 and not knowing where the hell i was and where the hell we were heading. so i buried the throttle to try and squeeze the last bits of power out then the next thing i knew, the engine cut and the rear view mirror went completely black all of a sudden. i feel sorry for the people behind me that got hit by all the oil that i had dumped over them:rofl:

 

really, all i should be saying is...

Shame really as that wozzer nice car. I spose all you can do is bite the bullet and get it fixed. :rofl:

 

I know it aint a laughing matter. Sorry mate. Had to be done. I hope you can sort it without too much expence. Maybe you should get a TT this time? :tongue::)
