possibly the sillyness question of the day - fitting gauges.

I know this may be a silly question but was looking to see how other people have done it and what may the best way.

I have a Defi BF Guage, the front dont screw off or anything like that so i was wondering how you actually attach the guage to a pod.

So far i've worked out you make a 60mm hole slide the guage in but then what? The gauge will be sitting at a 90degree so how do you get it to stay in there? there is very little surface area which makes contact with the backing material and glueing may look messy and damage the guage if i ever needed to remove it.

This is where you say, well all you do is..... ;)

There should be a metal 'C' shaped thing (not curved though straight with right angles) That goes behind the hole. There should be two threads sticking out the back of the guage body itself, this clamps it down against the face of the hole!

Nope nothing like that.

Just have a cup thing if it was to be mounted on the dash and a metal bracket for the cup.
