Seriously considering parting with my zed and opting for a Z33.

I just think the Z33 is more a daily car than mine and TBH mine is just not getting the use it deserves. Been out in her twice since last September.

I have said many times, that I would never part with my zed but with two small boys, who are now getting to the age where they need more and more of my time and attention, It's something I'm thinking about.

hard time to sell atm, you might not get what you want as there just aint the cash about!

I have got to say that this is one thread I never thought I would see. BUT! Your choice is a good one and your family is more importatnt than anything so good luck Steve. Your car is one of the best in the whole country if not further affield mate. Worth more IMO than many 350Z's.

I'd rather let it rot in the garage than take that for it.

I think you'll get ten K for it - might just have to wait a while but like you said youre hardly driving it anyway. For me it would be worth lots more than that but as mentioned above there isnt the money around in the current climate.

 

Why dont you put it up and see what you get? The worst that can happen is that people offer less than 10k and you keep the car anyway!

 

Your car is pretty much unique - especially as compared to the Z33! I seriously think prices for good examples like your will be coming UP in th enext few years!

The problem you have is that you need to look at the type of person that will be in the market for a 300, they have all seen what they sell for and have an idea of what they want and can afford to pay. How many people come on here asking for a mint UK z wanting to spend 3K. I dont think anyone in the market for one will look at yours and say great I will go and take another spare 7k out of the bank and buy this because of the extras. Ask yourself would you pay 30k instead of 12k for a second hand 350 just because it had loads of extras or would you want the 12k one and mess around with it yourself (which is half the fun).

This isnt an insult mate I know your Z is worth that all day long but speaking from experience selling the fridge everyone is saying OMG thats a bargain, well worthi it, if only i was looking for one etc but nobody actually puts their money where their mouth is. And I know how painfull you will find it selling something you have lovingly turned into exactly what you wanted. You could always advertise it and stick to your price but be prepared for a thousand stupid emails from people wanting to PX you for M3 replicas etc.

 

Anyway with your money you could buy us all a 350 ;)

PaulG - You know i'd have taken yours at the drop of a hat if I haven't just purchased around 7k's worth of stuff for mine to get fixed. Was waiting for it to come up for sale since JAE '06, if you'd actually put it up for sale just a couple of months earlier it would have been bought the same day. Im sure you knew I wanted it lol.

 

Steve, Your car is beaurtiful both innside and out. It is one of the most tasteful zed in the country (not putting anyone else's down here). I do like the 350Z mind but I think they are becoming pretty popular now and everytime I go out I normally see one. I would take a car like yours over the Z33 anyday of the week. Put them side by side and let people have a look I think yours would come out on top easily.

I think it's a better car than a Z33 but that's not the reason why I'm considering a change. I think the Z33 will get a lot more use than the Z32 does currently. Just want a daily driver that I can leave somewhere and not worry myself sick about it. Daren't leave mine anywhere.

why don't u get a cheaper run about or a cheaper nissan through work.

No, that's not true, I sold Zelda for £10K last week... and my advert was very blunt!! I actually wrote if you cannot aford this car do not even bother contacting me with optimistic offers!! It's all this talk about no-one wants to pay anything more than £7K which is total rubbish... I had offers ranging from £8K to £9250 within the first few days but I declined...

 

The main problem is the amount of rubbish Zed's out there!!, they drag the prices down of the best one's!!:(

Nice one lee. Many people are so negative about Zed prices as all they ever see is the rubbish on ebay going at rock bottom

 

There have been quite a number of Z32's sold for between the £8k-12k bracket in the past year or so that I know off. :)

 

Unfortunately I also know of quite a few fully working and road legal examples sold for well under £1k too ! :(

yeah its fantastic to hear that zelda has been sold for a good amount of money but a real shame she aint in the north east anymore, what a stunner.
