Le Mans 24 hr race? Been last 2 years and it was great. Just wondered if any other members going and maybe fancy meeting up:D:duffer:

Going with 12 mates thursday till monday, and i cant wait.

 

Im camped by arnarge (the yellow section in the middle of the circuit)

I'm going to the Classic this year, not the main one.

Were on the Dover - Dunkerque route, something silly like 7am thursday morning, but i cant remember what time were travelling home, will have to look that up. But yeah, deffo hook up for a few stubbies

 

Best hurry with the camping tho, theres not alot of spaces left!

i was going up until tonight... But ive pulled out of the trip. Could see it ended in disaster... Nothing worse than going in a completly unsuitable car, which is owned by one of the group and is worth quite alot (to us young un's anyway!)

 

So ive told my mate to sell my ticket and have a good time...! Cant stand making plans with people and then it suddenly being changed without even being asked!

Yeah i am. I shall be there bright and early, im heading down tomorrow morning and spending the day down there with my lass, then going early in the morning!.

 

Its pissed me off has le mans tbh, i was looking forward to going and the road trip down was going to be great... but now i just know the trip wont be fun... I was going with the wrong group of mates tbh!

Not going this year but have gone every year since 99!!! best race of the year and will miss it tbh... Get down to arnarge (sorry fo the spelling) best corner to watch and if you get to the mouleson (again sorry) straight... brilliant.. I'll watch what I can on TV wish I was there... anyhow no zx this year and can't go down in the current ride (scoob) as jsut too... well you know!!! Make sure your cars are up to scratch though (I know they all will be) as the drive is hard and there is alot of standing traffic on the way back... Have a dodgy french lager for me!!!!!!

Quavey... I know how you feel... went with a group of friends last year and all was great... except the drive down and back; complete bunch of nob jockeys tbh. I like to drive fast but topping out an M3 against a bike (R1) ain't my idea of fun... to old and too sensible now! anyhow have been recommended the the classic le-mans.. maybe get a group going... Oh and just so you know.. have had 300's until about 2 year ago (was subscribed member) but ended up with scoob :-(really want my my ZX back but got stripped for parts (guy on this site bought/swapped it and stripped :-()

 

Anyhow enjoy le-mans all and hope that the ZX frat will be well turned out!!!!

Going to both the Classic and the regular this year... first time at the Classic... 16th time at the regular! :duffer::duffer::duffer:

 

Not in the zed this year though (never taken it actually)... taking the 535d.

Just been invited by some mates and very tempted, will have to get tickets soon. tho

The zed is up for it, i just need to organise it all now- see how it goes!

Buy tickets now?... I hope your rich because camping tickets are very hard to get now at any decent campsite.

 

However, if your mates are sorted for camping check there is actually space for you, new pitch allowances have been introduced over the last years in most sites and allow only for 1car + about 1 or 2 tents so most groups now buy several pitches worth.

 

General Entry tickets are usually pretty easy to get, even on the gate when you arrive.

ps. Wednesday to Monday, Portsmouth to Cherbourg, offsite camping due to 15years of bliss at Maison Blanche ruined by pitch allocation tickets, BMW 535d - find me at bar in Arnage village, sitting on Arnage corner or hidden in the woods at indi.

Been wanting to go to Le Mans for years and every time the Z is off the road!

Got my tickets yesterday. Just sorted out a gas cooker and a huuuuuge gazeebo as well.

It's made by volunteers and can be downloaded for free. Strongly recommend anyone going prints it off (I do it double sided and 2 pages per side), its good reading for the ferry and invaluable once you arrive.
