Sponges and brushes are the tools of satan and you should all be ashamed of yourselves!

I use a Meguiars wash mit. I also double bucket. No it's not like double bagging, StellaZ!

The local valet place! :x:

I know, i know...but I live in a flat with no way of getting water down to the car! But I did get it washed today and waxed it myself! (with a mit and cloth) :D

I thought the same thing with sponges and you'd get tiny scratches?

Tried a wash mit and found it just didn't soap up :(

think I'll get one of those Meguiars lamb mits then :)

I use a woven horses hair wash mitt and ducks down chamois.

Sometimes find ostrich feathers (free range of course) good for getting to the hard to reach areas.

The natural materials are often the best.

When none of the above are close to hand i tend to use a sponge instead!!!

Lamb wool mit with two bucket system and stone guard. Will soon be using foam lance with snow foam :)

Hi,

What do you guys use, sponge, mit, brush?

Vijay

i use my kids vijay... :mac1:

One bucket with your clean hot soapy (shampoo) water in it. Second bucket has clean water in it and you dunk your mit in there to get the dirt off. That way you're not putting loads of muck into your clean hot soapy water bucket. Helps to prevent contamination and swirls.

Peach wrote a fantastic article on guide lines on this here a couple of years back

Well worth trying to search and find it

Maguires Mit and 2 buckets... Don't even use car shampoo anymore as it takes off the polish...

Good tip and didn;'t belive it till i tried it.. Was with shampoo to get rid of all the dirt initially... Then polish your Zed using autoglym super resin, then next time the cars dirty just wash it with a mit and water... The water and dirt will just beed off!

The trouble with shampoo is when you've polished it and then wash it again with car shampoo, it takes off the polish...

Just water for me and it looks stunning! :D
