couldnt have said it better myself, well could have done with a bit more swearing but its spot on none the less:bow:

I never thought Id see the day Sheffield was not Labour!! Shame Rotherham is still Labour though.

Finally people are waking up to the fact that new labour is no longer for the working man, its took long enough!

fookin labour are a***holes

never voted labour in my life but always liked ken

I remember when he was leader of the London council and some of the things he got slagged about

1/Meet up with Gerry Adams and was slagged for doing it and he said back then the only way to end the conflict is to sit down and talk about it. 10 odd years later what did they do Oh they sat down and talked about it

2/Fairs fare scheme a subsidised tickets for Public transport to try and get people to use this more than the cars 15 years later. most people are now trying to do this

3/ Stopping discrimination of Homosexuals and lesbians absolutely pilloried for this but 10 years later what came into effect

And will always remember on the last day when dear old Maggie said I know how to stop him being such a thorn in side I will just dissolve the who;e Council and ken put the big banner on top of County Hall Saying "We'll meet again" thought that was classic

Now I sit back and await the abuse

Hi Steve,

I remember that, despite my relative youth! He reduced bus fares througout London to just 5p for under 16s (like me at the time).....;)

However he financed it by slaping a surcharge on peoples' rates bills - fine in principal; if you are paying for the buses so you may as well use them. BUT he seemed to forget about the over 60s; they get free travel anyway so the increase in rates meant they were paying for public transport!

Richad:slap:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I think boris will just take advantage of kens previous handy work, ei congestion charge and all the other *****x.

If the reds had the balls to call an election back in November when gordy hinted, then the country would be blue by now, I'm sure of it.

But don't think if labour get booted out it will be all good, it took maggie a while to undo the mess labour made last time, the country was in a good way and climbing in 97.
