I am getting water leaking into the boot. At first i thought it was the rubber gater on the rear wiper. I have changed this and i am pretty sure its not that. It looks like it could be coming from the bottom of the window where the rubber seal is. How can i fix this?

Take the window out and have it rebonded. Jimmer has a similar problem I believe.

Sounds expensive

I'd imagine it won't cost anymore than the £70 that Nissan charge for the rear window seal. Right autoglass or something and find out how much it would cost to pop out the window and re-seal it.

Not so straight forward to take out and rebond, im in the glass business so i know.

Also trims can be a nightmare to remove in a reusable condition.

Do like Funky says and ring round a couple of local glass companys to get prices

yeah but DON'T sign a disclaimer, if they break the glass they pay for it cos that glass is a fortune and to top it off there on a massive back order

Which window seal are we talkng bout here. I thought there were no actual seals on the rear window as long as its bonded in properly it should be water tight?? I thought the window rubber was just a trim?? Just aking coz we have had the same prob for a while now and its been done at an auto glass place

Yes, the rubber is just a trim, but I call it a weather seal.

I put myself in the boot and got someone to spray water around the window and rear wiper arm. No water came in. After washing the car i found the water was coming in around the rear brake light strip across the tailgage. The water then traveled along the boot interior plastic making it look like it was coming from that area.

Now i just need to make that water tight. Not as expensive as getting the window sorted. :nana2:

Unfortunatly my mate left me in here (boot) and done one, so im typing this on my phone. Ive been here for hours now. HELP!!!! :D

p.s . i need a wee.
