are these prices any good?

eagle F1 119 quid

toyo proxes t1 100 quid

pirelli pzero 129 quid

yoko a008p 126 quid

continental sport 118 quid

hankook ventus k102 86 quid

thinking of either the f1's

or toyo's

what do you think?

Yokohama AVS Sport, as you might be aware I use these for my displays at shows and for the road! I would stand by them for wet and dry use they are 100%. I used to use BFg`s which are also very good, I have both types for sale in your size if you are interested, give me a shout!

hi jay,,,have you done any damaged!!

i use avon turbospeeds,,

why:- because they where on the car when i got it!!

but in defence of the tires can't unstick them in the dry,

and they slide pridictably in the wet(unless you come off island 2nd gear full chat when its raining????then proceed to fish tail wildly for the next 200yrds while screaming ****...****...... not that i have ever done it??? wink.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

so2 are v. good though you can get the rears to light up far to easy in the wet.

i now have toyos and dont seem to have this trouble. as far as i am concerned you need more grip in wet than dry.

I've heard Toyo's are "Sticky as shit". They are also a good price.

Dunlop SP Sport 2000 E, they are a whole lot better than the jap yoko;s that were on it thats for sure!!

I use Marshalls because I like to live on a knife edge in the rain!! LOL

Will consider a swap to Toyo when these wear out though.

I only use the brakes so I can accelerate all over again.

Bridgestone SO2's are the biz although I cant get them anymore - DOH! I have just put SO3's on the front, and they feel great so far.

The SO2's had a nice wheel protector ring, and trhe 3's dont.

I have tried the rest and Bridgestones are the best to date, for both handling and wear. Very good in the wet.

Good luck.

I had S03's on my Zed which were great.

My Skyline has 18" S02's all round and water is insignificant wink.gif (ATTESA helps mind)

I have Falken on mine now.

Reason? Lack of money. I went for a mid range priced tyre, I could have gone cheaper but its not worth risking my life.

The Falken where an inbetween price.

They are good but where very very slippy when wearing them in. Not as good at the S02s I had on before, which I think are superb, but they are not dangerous like Marshall. They cost me £86 each fitted, better than the £140 each for SO3s especially when you are skint.

I have Bridgestone ER30's on the front which are more of a sports touring tyre. They are good, not as good as the falken I have now, but they have done about 15,000miles have have about 1/4 of tread left before they are down to the bar.

What can I say mate. Toyos Toyos Toyos Toyos Toyos Toyos Toyos Toyos Toyos Toyos.

Had everything else. Just got these. King of Tyres!

I use falkens on rear, they are good, never got out of shape in wet or dry and they clear standing water very well.

Currently i have Bridgestone SO3 and they are real good. Just checked cos there are getting worn out and they have lasted about a year. I only do about 9000 a year!

Think i had better put the front on the back and vise versa to try and get some more wear out of them.

When they are completely gone a nice set of 18s i think. Might try these Toyo ones everyone is talking about.

Rubber ones as I couldn't get the Farrier to shoe the car after doing the horses! ROFL biggrin.gif

I know what you mean. My SO2 didnt last too long either.

I wouldnt change the tyres round. I think it was Timmy who has a nasty problem with the front making a bang when turning a corner. The tyre place put thre rears on the front.!

jay, i got hankooks 80 quid fitted, balanced etc. not bad tyres, not the best, but they hold well and still loads of grip after 4k.

c

I toyed with Toyo's because they are better than shoe leather. Also wooden over-wheels are not grippy enough !
