You can think about it as much as you like, it's the first one to post it up that counts :D

Might look ok, but I can see that in a few months time companies will be producing lights for all sorts of cars with these on, like a modern day angel eye.

I thought about it months ago lol.

You can get the led strips from ebay from a guy who sells them for £29.95 or you can get them from Hong Kong for £2.99 each strip, i have ordered a couple to try out.

The only pain is getting the headlight apart then setting the strip at the right height cos there is a lip at the bottom of the headlight. Can be done though, and wire it up to the sidelights.

Cheers

I am not sure whether many cars would lend themselves to the idea, as you really have to have that curve on the bottom of the headlights?

yeah agreed in a years time every chav will have them on their Saxos, Clios, Astras!!

It will be the M3 mirror of modern day times!

Don't do it, i'v already seen it done on a saxo. Infact its the ideal car to do it to as there is a plastic strip under each headlight.

I quite like that, completely changes the front of the car IMO

I think that's actually the worst design feature of the R8 and new A5. Looks really tacky. People were fitting lights to the front of their cars in the 70s. I think it looks really naff. I can see people doing this mod though like the Angel eye and Lexus lights. Done to death and very tacky.

Reminds me of this.

I'll take that a compliment to my Photo shop skills :)

Yeah, I really like the chrome standard lights on mine and wouldn't want to change them for anything else. But thought I'd photo shop my car to show Mark what it could look like.
