there is nothing better than the feeling of looking forward to something good, embrace it and use the time wisely, to make plans of what you are going to do to her next!

Depends what type. Bulk carriers go down all the time. Car-carriers tent to fair a little better. They get badly affected by the weather due to their slab sidedness...most car carriers in winter months that enter the northern hemisphere get delayed.

Think yourself lucky your car wasn't on the lower deck of the Cougar Ace. A ballasting error by the senior officers caused her to heal heavily to one side in bad weather and take on water a few hundred miles from the Ascension Islands....

The vessel didn't sink, surprisingly, she was re-floated by salvage crews and towed back to port. Luckily, due to correct lashings, most of the cars above the lower 3 decks were actually ok. Just vehicles that had been submerged were scrap.

The largest type car carriers can carry about 6,000 cars.

Cars and containers are regularly lost on big journey's but I'm sure yours hasn't fallen off :x:

Most import 'used' cars come in via car carriers. It's not that economical on older used cars which tend to be shoved on lower decks to fill up space. There's a lot of wasted space in containers if filled with cars and you'll end up paying full container load on one of these. Mercedes bring in the C-Class from south Africa via container and they have a rather funky stacking ramp meaning they can squeeze 2 cars into 1 TEU. Still a lot of unused space.

hmmm let me think, wait 1 extra day to get my zed perfect or get zed a day early and have it spend a week in a bodyshop getting dents fixed due to insecure items on ship bashing it in rough seas

patience laddie, all good things come to those who wait

for wat its worth i wouldnt be able to sleep either

one less day of ownership is one less day of problems with these cars.... haha count ya self lucky...

haha im just kidding.
