Flippin' hell, Neil.....

......You're leaving a ZX parked on the road in Whitechapel?????

Anyway, if you have a decent alarm it should have battery back-up. Whilst my car is locked away in the garage I normally do not set the alarm as it has a habit of draining the battery if I don't drive the car for a couple of weeks. The immobilizer stays armed though - it's a requirement of a cat-1 system.

I found my battery dead on Saturday but the alarm was still functioning properly due to its own battery back-up.

If yours is the same you needn't worry so much about thieves mate; but hipefully you can get the battery charged up with little hassle. BTW, do you have AA or RAC "at home" cover - they'll come out and do it!!

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

All sorted now, i went and got a batt charger today, i realised about the batt back up late last night..... so put down the baseball bat and went to bed, then when i took the batt off i realised why it was flat........ i put a new batt on the other week and when i connectedit up the alarm went off inmy ear, so fumbled the keysout my pocketand then totally forgot to do up the terminals..... so prob wasnt charging properly........ tw@t any ways all done now and fully charged, may even take it for a spin later.........
