I've got a series 2 passenger seat to fit when I've trimmed the front seats. Managed to get a bit of loom and seat connector from the drivers side from series 1 breaker at Zedworld.

1st question: Can I simply run a spur from the drivers side over to the passenger side?

2nd question: Are the connectors on the drivers' seat the same as the passenger seat?

Thanks

Ye can run a spur from drivers

Some Z's have the wiring loom for the passenger seat already there, just tucked away under the carpet.

i think most nissans have the wiring already there, my primera had the wiring for the heated seats there but no switches.

Mine's a series 1, so can't imagine they would have the loom tucked away as electric passenger seat was never available on these. Mind you, Nissan may have made 1 common loom for LHD and RHD with electric feeds for both sides. Cheaper that way sometimes.

I can see they'd put the loom in some cars that came without electric seats full stop as it was an option whereas electric pax seat on series 1 was never an option.

I'll take up the carpet and have a look. :)

yep you may aswell while the seats are out ;)

I ran the feed from Drivers seat when I did mine. Under the carpet.

2nd question: Are the connectors on the drivers' seat the same as the passenger seat?

No. Passenger side is smaller.

Mines a series 1 and ive got some loom/connector under the carpet on the passenger side.I assume its for a elec seat?

Nope, passenger side connector is just for the seatbelt warning.

Sheesh Si, You didn't finish this thread. I tried today to put my USDM leather electric drivers seat into the passenger side of my J-Spec and the only loom that I noticed was for the seatbelt warning. I didn't actually go and search under the carpet for extra looms but I would have readily saw it if one was present.

So what was your outcome Si? Did you just run a spur off of the driver's side?

If you've got or are going to take some pics of this process (which you ususally do), will you be posting them on 3ZC as well. I sure could use them and the gang there will do their normal drooling as well.

Hi John. I was going to attempt to do it today, but the weather wasn't too great. I ended up pulling all the old Bose housings out the back, running new wiring and sound deadening everything. I think the passenger seat will come out next weekend. But I will probably end up running a spur off it.
