While installing this found these rear speakers. Take it these are not standard.

The ride height is not much different from before. The old shocks and springs must have been totally shot. In fact i think it maybe a little higher

Now just need MOT and i can put her on the road see what she feels like. After 4 wheel laser alignment of course. :hyper:

Cheers

Excellent stuff. I have the exact same setup, except I have Tein springs which are lower than the Eibachs which is what looks like you have. Give the car a few weeks for the suspension to settle and you should notice a difference.

Nice

yeh, give the suspension time to settle.

and yeh they are aftermarket speakers.

Nice work. All looks to be installed correct, tension rods, font upper arms etc... ;)

As others have said, the springs will settle & it will lower a fraction more. It might not look any lower, but I'm sure it handles a hell of a lot better :)

theres seems to be some differing opinions as to which way the arms are installed, long part to the spring,or short part to the spring ??? spl say one way, other companies say another ????????

My paint skills are top class as you can see

This is how they say they should be installed:

If SPL give instructions for a certain way...then that is the way. They designed the arms and they have have more proven z32 track experience than anyone else.

Kuah and his team spend a lot of time and money on experimenting with the Z32 chassis and components.

Its that way to clear the brackets on full suspension travel.

Ok il be turning them round 2mow, now i think i know what that knock noise was when i went over an uneven bit of road.. the arms were touching the top of the bracket damn it. i hope they are not damaged. but I just looked at the photo and its clear that it must be fitted that way to clear the top bracket at full travel.

  • 3 months later...
can these be fitted with shock's in situ or should i wait before i fit my teins

I did mine with my tein flex coilovers still in

I did it the spl way and have had no problems in 3 months,so thats the correct way to put them in
