Been having a crap time at home and work due to me getting divorced and having made my spouse a major shareholder and director of the company many years back.

So I gave Spare parts a run out today and pull in the the petrol station to fill up with V-power and did just that. only to realise 4ft from the pump that i'd actually put £59.52 of V-power diesel in it. :headvswal :headvswal

Spent rest of day getting recovered and draining and flushing it out.

What amazed me was how fast it went from tank to engine. Due to the fact that it is a presurised fuel rail on a continuas loop. 4 feet is litterally how far I got. Fingers crossed hat no lasting harm is done.

That because you have a UK car and I believe Euro spec is the same. I wouldn't have ben able to do this with my blue car, but unfortunately there is no reducer in the Jspec cars.

Have to say though that she is running very well today and flew round the clock on the track, but she has definately aquired a more raspy engine note.

My local Shell station have recently had new pumps and all the hoses are black and all the nozzles are green  I have to look at the small sticker next to the pump now to check, which makes it easier to pick up the wrong one, easily done now !

Most garages I use all have black hoses too - although the diesel nozzle tends to be black. However may garages have so many advertising stickers over the nozzles nowadays that it it not always easy at first glance.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

When I worked at GPS we had a Z brought in by the AA. Wouldn't run at all, didn't even try to fire on cranking. ConZult gave the all clear, all plugs were sparking and the fuel pump was running. Decided to try changing the FRP and as I disconnected the fuel line, thought to myself "that doesn't smell like petrol". Yep you guessed it, he'd filled it with Diesel

Can't believe it but it is defo running a lot better. So maybe the fuel line or the injectors needed a real good clean out, as the difference is quite noticable.

I have also nearly done it, as somebody had changed the hoses over and put the diesel nozzle in the petrol holster and vice versa, just for a laugh!!! Just noticed in time.
