Good to hear Mark..

Yes, the engine was running very sweet.

I hope the oil in the exhaust (from the old engine) will burn up soon

oh...and don't let your son touch the boost controller ever again !! ;)

Excellent news!!!! So what was the cause then?

I meant the smoke/blowing dipstick out :slap: :D What was the engine damage?

Hey Jonce, Whereabouts in Germany are you stationed ?

....and whereabouts in Holland is DTA ?

:)

> ....and whereabouts in Holland is DTA ?

DTA have a workshop in Haarlem (near Amsterdam) and a workshop in Tilburg

Thinking about it, it must be fairly easy for some people in essex/suffolk/norfolk to ferry over to Holland and get their car fixed?

Cheers for that lymon :)

Tilburg is about 125 km from here, so not really far at all ...might be worth a trip, kind of like a pilgramige maybe make an appointment to have the car checked over .

any idea when they are open on a Saturday...and is it easy to find ?

:)

Excellent , that's a long time of waiting, patience is definately worked in your favour

Well done and happy driving back here :D

Just paid the road tax couple days ago £180 ....welcome back

And they could have an entertaining weekend of culture in Amsterdam :nana2: :x:

Thank you everyone for the kind words. Yes the smoke has gone. Found the cause when i got to Roermond. Was the pipe to one of the P.S.Vs was split causing the engine to run a bit pooy LOL Soon sorted though. :nana2: :hyper:

Andy, there was no compression on one of the cylinders and a few other ones were showing low. :headvswal

Maz im back in UK now for 8 months but hoping to get back out there. I was in Elmpt(Bruggen) by the border of Holland. Where are you. Its well worth taking a trip up. :hyper:

Hi Topless. You are right in saying its not to far. Its only about 50/60 quid on ferry then a couple of hours drive. Just the same as going up North.

Done over a 1000 miles and still happy driving lol. Just gota test the controler once again but without the help of my son LOL ;) ;) :nana2: :nana2:

Well I've been planning to go visit Eric in Holland for some time, but still planning just gotta get the car back first.

I think I mailed you (Eric) almost 3 years ago now about custom mapping my car once it's built, well it's still not built yet lol. Engines back in now so hopefully won't be long :).

Probably works out cheaper as well then.

I'm sure you'd spend more on petrol that you would on a ferry :)

Not sure bout the other Zeds. I think somone mentioned they were coming across to Germany.

Getting the Zed back is like finding 100 euro in the street. The feeling of getting it is great but then the 100 euro soon goes again LOL. Ner, honest it feels good. Just need to get back to Germany now so i can afford the fuel :headvswal
