Hi Guys and Gals -

Like most of us I am working to a budget. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with or has any thoughts on these;

The car is a JDM NA, stock power - so is it overkill? I actually do need a flywheel and radiator, I was just wondering if these were a good buy or a pile of poop!

Thanks all in advance.

The Koyo Rad is what alot of ppl on here are using so it's not poop, but you have to remember import charges and i would imagine they will charge a lot more than $45 for shipping!!!

Speak to the traders as im sure Danny can supply them?!?

Quite a few users of the XTD brand clutch in the U.S Dont go for the Stage 3 Paddle clutch though, total Overkill for your needs and a real pain to use on a daily driver. A Stage 1 or Stage 2 will suit you fine.

Koyo Rads are by far the most common Radiator upgrade for the 300zx. A very decent upgrade.....However...the pics in the ebay link is not the Koyo Aluminium Racing radiator for the 300zx...

either is a generic picture or thats the OEM replica verson. Better of buying from an established U.S or U.K vendor to be sure of what your getting.

That what I meant when I said ''pile of poop'' - I know the brands, but do the products/vendors look legit.

Sorry for any offence..........

I have been checking around but since I am a tight Scotsman, price is a major factor at the mo, and I am struggling to find anything near that of the clutch/flywheel sets.

Import charges are not a major issue, and I will pay reduced shipping too, so thats not a major factor.

Also I am in Germany just now, so I would pay as much shipping, if not more, from the UK.

Thanks guys...

From someone who has an NA with everything on it my advise is go for a lightened flywheel and underdrive pulley to balance the engine but don't bother with the 6 puck racing clutch if it's a day to day car. It's bloody awful to drive with, the constant squeaking and short clutch biting point just tire you out on a day to day drive.

The flywheel/underdrive pulley combo makes 3rd gear immense though

Thanks for the advice.

I am not aiming for any attempt at a performance boost, its just that these parts on my car are fooked, and I am trying to balance cost and reliability when I replace them - any performance upgrade is a bonus, as this will be a daily driver and I don't have buckets of cash to spend untill I have saved for a paint job.

The XTD clutch and flywheel combo is fantastic value for money. I've not heard of any problems with them from those that have them fitted. Stage 1 would do you fine, although stage 2 is about same price anyway. Dont got for Stage 3.

You can also get a Genine Nissan OEM non-turbo clutch for around £120 + shipping from the U.S

Well its the flywheel I need as my ring gear is gone (along with the starter) so looks like I'll be having the flywheel/clutch set then.

Will be a while before I get her back on the road, but I will be sure to post an opinion when its fitted.

Thanks fella.

I have the xtd paddle clutch and flywheel and I would not recommend it, the paddle clutch is not great to use and I think the ring gear on the flywheel is already starting to go. But you would not want a TT clutch on an NA total overkill!

Also the radiator you are looking to upgrade is a tt, this mean adapting the fitting to make it fit, also the NA stock radiator has much more surface area and is an improvement on the TT rad!
