Now you're all probably going to call me thick for asking this as it's probably impossible! But... does anyone know of any ramps you can buy to get a Z with a standard front up into the air?

If not, how do you guys without access to garage facilities get underneath your vehicles? I'd be loath to get under a Z supported only on axle stands.

Cheers

Axle stands and then put ramps under the wheels chocked just in case? car in second gear with handbrake up,

thats what i do when i have my MG on stands,

A good quality set of axle stands should be fine........just check what spec the stands are.

Regards

If your zed falls off its axle stands, you won't wanna live anyway wink.gif LOL

At the moment I have the back wheels on ramps and the front on axle stands - its been there for 4 months now ( frown.gif) and its still there....

Vijay. Thanks for that mate. That stilts idea looks good.

Submarine. I'm probably just being paranoid but I just don't feel safe under a car on axle stands. I have this image of someone coming along and leaning on the side of the car asking me what I'm doing and ending up pushing it off its stands! I'm obviously one of this life's pesimists!

Cheers everyone.

I used those simple ramps you see in Motorworld but with a couple of stout wooden planks to ramp the zed onto the ramp if you see wot I mean as the ramp is otherwise too steep and fouls the spoiler. Slightly safer than planks and bricks!

Worries me a bit that the tyres are way wider than the ramps!

Once its up I put in axle stands as well under the chassis rails and chock the wheels
