I just had my 300zx weighed on a weighbridge..... Can you guess how much it weighed? The reason I ask is there are sooo many figures banded about... I wasn't what I thought it would be!

Now to help you, my car is a completely standard 1992 Jspec Manual 2+2.

I have no modifications, nothing taken off, nothing added. Toolkit and wheel were present.

The weight included the driver (me) and I weigh 80Kg's (the total weight is also in kg's).

What was the total weight?

Closest gets a pint from me at the next national meet! :duffer:

1675 kg + 1kg for every litre of fuel you had in it.

There was 5 litres of fuel in it....

Im going to guess its lighter than Nissan suggest.

1603 kg including you and liquids

1625 - wild stab in the dark cos i don't even know what weight nissan suggest.

whats your spec? wheels... ice... kit etc etc?

how much accident damage has it had too

Completely standard, I do have after market alloys, but they are still 16"

Oh... and one of you is EXACTLY right!

3750 lbs, whatever that is in kg? 1800ish

If one of use is exactly right, is there any point getting others to guess

Come on... spill the beans :D

Now considering I had almost no fuel....

I now know that the zed is just tooo porky!

Mine is going on a diet!

Now that figure makes more sense than some others posted previously.

I shall be weighing mine as soon as she is back on the road, got a pretty good idea of how much she should weigh though as have been keeping count of weight changes I've done.

Yey I rock!

my workings were as follows

1610kg is what nissan say in the spec

-15kg as I was betting that was the weight of the auto and the manual box is lighter.

+80kg for you (assuming your not lying)!

= 1675kg

+ 1kg per litre of fuel as 1 litre is 1 kg and you didn’t say how much you had.

= 1680kg :nana2:

From a previous thread. I still don't know why my Red UK Z was so light? It has the UK fabric interior (as opposed to the heavy leather) non-electric seats and lightweight Rays Engineering wheels.

1470kg without driver but with some fuel on-board.. maybe £15 worth as a guess.

I would say that figure has to be incorrect. Commercial Haulage weigh bridges are often only accurate to (1/10th of a ton - 100kg), unless otherwise stated.

You could have lost a 100 kgs from rust....

I used the weighbridge at Redditch just off J3 M42.

Since you were the first correct answer, I will buy you a pint at the next national meet!

I sincerely hope it is correct.......... we weight our scrap metal in at the yard I used so they're doing us out of tonnes and tonnes

It was not a long artic bridge, just one that is large enough to fit a skip lorry.

But, I take your point and I WILL put it on another bridge in the future.

  • 1 year later...

I just had mine weighed for a laugh today, was 1520kg...... i think thats quite good as ive bolted quite a bit to it and also lost quite a bit of weight.... still thinking of dumping some stuff.
