so last night had a chase with a audi tt, took my beastie upto 152, but due to poor brakes and knowing the limiter was going to ruin the party, i eased off. However, i know that once me boost controller, and chip are in place then its gonna be capable of a lot more. So question is what are the limits guys? top end? how fast ya been?

i've had 160 on the way home from holyhead, timmis speed track!! LOL! standard chip, 18' wheels and 0.9 bar boost and i backed off 2 would have gone faster but not sure of the accuracy of the speedo, have fitted an se-chip now will let u know of new top speed whatc this space!! LOL!

171mph indicated, worked out through the revs the engine was pulling and the wheel diameter, true mph was 167 mph. This was with SE Chip therefore no speed limiter and the rev limit raised. (PS the bloody thing was still pulling!!)

Ummm coming back from Billing got to 160 on the clock and engine was really sluggish and no more power. I checked this morning and found that the centre vacuum pipe on EVC controller was bent over so I straightened it up and wah hay back in business. I can't believe something a simple as a crimped vac hose made such a difference.

150mph while having fun with a Lotus Carlton on the bypass from junc 15 m1 at 9.30am towards billing,loads in reserve,just stayed 50yds behind,backedoff when shit loads of smoke came out of his rear at 150mph,side bye side when paying at gates he looked over and gave the thumbs up,he looked very humbled, top start to the day!.

160 so far - but only just done the first oil change after its run in! So give me time! (Still loads of vaa vaa vooom left too)

 

btw, my GPS shows my speedo as reading 5mph short of the truth up to about 100mph, then is about 1 mph slow, after that - was about perfect from then on.

got the gen on the tt the roadster tt( open top ) 225 bhp will do bout 145mph,

but the coupe version 225bhp will do 151 niffty little bugger!!
