JJP, that trim is fookin gorgous, but with my ocd it would drive me mad, i would have to brush it so i couldnt see the handmarks on it lol

Thanks for the compliments guys  :D

I agree about the Leather / Alcantara combo though and may consider for the future but at the time that's what i wanted and i'm well pleased with it.

Now regards the seats, unfortunatley nothing as quality as Corbeau or even Skyline buckets retrimmed, i actually bought them off a company in Holland on fleabay, new as they are for about £200  and i ordered the extra matching material from the same guy for around £50 if i remember rightly and got Dave from D2 Trimmers to do the rear seats and all the other panels :D

I had some brackets made up so i could attach my original 300 subframes and yes i still have the electrics for backward/forward movement of the drivers seat :D

Stellaz absolutely FPMSL   re your comment, more so because i'm the same and DO find myself always brushing them   :D

how does the price of retrimming in the alcantara material price up compared to leather? material wise and actual trimming?

looks absolutely stunning chap i really like that... though i would be constantly paranoid about marking it, or it wearing quickly. i guess thats a bonus with a good quality leather is that it will prolly outlast the car and cleans alot easier... how are you finding its standing up against age?

Now I have driven cars with velour and alcantara and full leather is the one for me. With the other 2 it takes me so long to get comfy as when I get into a car my clothes tend to stick to these trims and I have to yank my clothes around a bit so I'm comfy.

Hope that makes sense.

Ivan

Leather and Alcantara trim for me cos thats what i have got :D Hate tweed looks cheap, dont mind velour tho but not in my car :p

Aftermarket leather all the way :D

Beautiful, just beautiful.. no other words to describe it.

Steves interior is my ambition for my Red Z.

Meanwhile I'm still looking for a Series 2 Suede/alcantra panel that goes behind the seats on the SWB- would anyone possibly have one....and if not can the trimmers match the Suede/alcantra material easily and retrim my Tweed one?

Regards

Dave

Hi Joel,

Don't know the cost campared to that of leather but it was relatively cheap due to me sourcing the material from Holland cheaply circa £50 and Dave from D2 Trimmers did me a very good deal if i remember rightly it was about £200 to strip the tweed and refit and trim the Alcantara :D .....

It's wearing very well although do find myself brushing it alot :smash: don't allow any eating or drinking in the car now :slap: I have noticed some slight fading on the top of the back seats from the sun, hence windows are being tinted for this summer ;)

James

What is alcantara? I could do with a description as you can't realy tell from the pictures.

Its a man-made suede like material. It came as standard on door cards and panels on some Series 2/3 cars.

No option for bright red pvc?

We are talking about car interiors bud :p :nana2:

I like it but have seen better, but IIRC I think that one was a great price but with everything as you start to personalise the car is all about your personal taste!
