i think im in the leather camp there

Leather, camp, Blue oyster, Tight shorts-Disscuss  :p

I'll choose my words carefully here.Leather for me :nelson:

I prefer aftermarket leather (stock leather is a bit cheap and plasticky). Although for the panels I prefer the Suede/alcantra rather than the velour, although the velour is ofcourse a hell of a lot nicer than tweed.

Grey Tweed

I love the look and feel of leather but it's too cold in the winter and too bloody hot in the summer.....

So sorry, but for me it's got to be Alcantara all the way :D

I do like that. I think if I had a blue or red Z, I'd get corresponding coloured alcantara as red vinyl/leather ain't nice at all. I'd prolly go for half leather/half alcantara.

what does velour look like?

It's furry. Not like the nasty tweed. I prefer the velour because you can get in the car on a hot sunny day without burning yourself - particularly helpful if you're wearing shorts I might add.

I love the Leather Alcantara combo. as in i'd have the seat backs, butty box and door cards done in leather and the bit your behind parks on in Alcantara.

it looks good, it's not cold and it stops you sliding around.

Nice interior though that one.

I think the leather/alcantara mix is the one to have! Leather on the outside of the seat (bolsters etc) and alcantara for the inners.

Would love to be able to have the cash to go the whole hog on a retrim! would finish any car off soooooo nicely!

They look like Skyline GTR front seats.... Do they fit easily into the zed, and are they electric like the zed???

JJP, that just gorgeuos. I have had cars with leather and velour, never tweed although I did drive Jimmers when he had tweed, but I do prefer the velour both for the summer advantages but also it does grip you better when cornering etc., The problem with Zed original leather is that although it is quite sturdy it tends to suffer from damage quite quickly, also perhaps my leather was too well polished. I have had 2 cars with velour and both have been mint in the upholstery department.Tweed although that looks sturdy also tends to fall apart or look dirty with age.

I think the seats are CORBEAU BOSS reclinable buckets that have been retrimed.

I prefer full leather seats on any car of mine.

I have never had had a problem with leather seats in the summer being too hot - the a/c keeps me cool enough! They can be chilly in winter but if you have heated seats then no problem!

I do like that alcantara trim but I would leave it to the door cards and centre console personally.

My MD has a Merc R-Class with half leather/half alcantara trim. Whilst it is nice, full leather is much nicer IMO.

Richard ;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
