Then when that lot is sorted, probably come across other problems, sounds like a never ending headache to me to be honest

I know where your coming from mrogers. I drove mine to Grass Hopper and 11 months later had it removed. Spent 3 months trying to get it sorted and then delivered it to Phill at C&S Wood. Three weeks later i had a full engine rebuild and all the snagging through out the car totally sorted. My list was much longer and far more severe. A good garage makes a world of difference and having a car you know is sorted properly give you confidence and faith to start enjoying the car in the way you did at first.

Based on the Assesments i have come up with the following

Welding Work : £350.00 Approx

Fixing Stuff should have been done by SWZ £240 Approx + The Towage Charges from Weston to Birmingham

NON SWZ or Welding Issues £600.00 Approx

Totals : £1,190 Approx + VAT £1,400 approx.

Ouch....... Do you concider it worth it, i'd be concerned you will find more things after that lot is done, a good Z can be a pain in the ass sometimes!

If done though the car will have a known strong engine, New Suspension (KYB) + Brakes inc Calipers on front and HICAS Joint on rear, it will be solid underneath.

Cant think there will be much left to go wrong.

The car has had an in depth full examination by a well known and respected Z- Specialist, so im quietly confident more things wont be found, once thats is all done. But still Considering this zed has cost me my silver one, plus the money to buy it, plus the above costs it become a rather expensive purchase.

Hey I paid GPS £12K then spent £500 myself trying to sort bits and get it right + borrowed my mate Dave from dpmotorsport and fooked one of his ramps. C & S Wood ended up costing me under £3K to redue every thing they did.

It all depends on wether the car will be sorted and reliable and if you think it will be worth it.

And that is if Jeff does not find other problems along the way. Jeff is a top Zed man but as has been stated before, these cars are 15 odd years old and over engineered so there is plenty to go wrong especially when the car has been standing for a long period. I always mentally add 20% to quotes for work on a Zed because of that and the extra funds are usually required. I assume Jeff has also carried out a pre MoT test which as we all know can be an expensive job of these.
