When I bought my 300 it only came with one key. I took it to my local key cutters and they cut me one and it didnt work. Took it back and the bloke said that the barrell of the key was too worn and they should have never cut it for me in the first place! Anyways... how do I go about gettin a replacment? Is there a key number stamped somewhere on the car that I can use to get a key cut? Cheers

try rubbing the key over some sand paper for 5 mins to give it a bit of aged look first

a key cutter worth his salt will allways buff the keen edges off a key anyway and give it the used look

I bought a set of two keys of tinternet black/red took them to key cutter and they wouldnt work anything on car when cut on closer inspection the original key had a very thin groove on top and new ones didnt think keys must be different for earlier models had to have a scummy black key for backup.
