whats everyone doing

 

ive spoke to a few of my mates and they aint really interested in a hooge nite out (like we do every year)

 

dont think there is any spirit in these festive seasons anymore, there was only five of us out on chrimbo eve and pubs were closing, there wasnt any chrimbo songs playing and very few decorations up in pubs

 

whats hapening? Give it a few years and all will be forgotten

Not fussed about going out this year. Can't be bothered with the queues at the bars, the pissed up ****ers wanting a fight and the extra charges to get in everywhere. Why pay £200 for a night out when you can have just the same at home, with no injuries for less than £30. Oh and we got a bottle of Moet to supp as well :D

 

Its not the same as it used to be but its all thanks to the commercialism of the christmas period these days....

not to mention the covert mission of getting home, queuing like cattle for the slaughter for a taxi with a load of pissed up chavs once again wanting a fight to look "well ard" infront of their mates. At the end of that being confronted with paying the same amount for a 3 mile journey as you would get a one way flight to a European city.

 

Also in the confines of my own home i'm not being dictated to by the PC crew and can enjoy the delights of my twenty pack of menthols in the warmth and comfort of my front room.

 

Also not having to make the effort of getting ready to stand in a sweat smelling pub, struggling to find a seat and suffering the tripe they call music these days.

 

Yes im getting old (or is that more refined lol) and i'm loving it!!

the only xmas now is for anyone in retail,fun these days is about how much you spent and this is the index for the measament of a happy xmas.

ps:ile be in bed for 11.00 wishing the wife a new year :D ;)

shes going to cook a large meal with some drinks then retire to bed me thinks

you forgot gettin up at 6am boxing day to fight with everyone to get 10 quid off a handbag, i'm sure half the females in this country only get through Christmas knowing they can go and spend loads of money fighting through hundreds of folk in the sales, shame they don't realise they are still paying over the odds and don't realise how much the corporate giants were ripping them off before :rolleyes:

i would love to get up to the fireplace and burn wood but my pc council say i cant burn solid fuels as it will kill some soggy fvkin rubber plant in borneo :mad: i tried burning nice split logs a few years ago and some tory born/bred twat came knocking on my door coughin and telling me ime giving his wife a bad chest :confused: you cant even stay at home these winters and burn wood anymore like the good ole days :cry: :cry:

Julia and I will be at a hotel in Cornwall. Celebrating with a 5 course meal, followed by drinks/champagne in the bar and fireworks at midnight. All for guests only!

I absolutely hate New Year. Always seems full of sadness and a time of 'should haves' and 'wish I hadn't haves'.

 

Always felt like that, now just wish I could sleep through the time.
