Well after installing the Doolz, my car hasn't taken a liking to it at all?? Despite having the SAFC controller and running it rich it doesn't seem to run at all well and struggles to rev up?

Have others had the same problems and what needs to done to get it right?

Hi Jaffa, I just didn't bank on the SAFC being a problem, I have the MK 1 so doubling the K value is not possible, which is such a real shame!! The idea behind fitting the Doolz was to unleash the max power of the car whilst the car was in the bodyshop, and then to have it re-dynoed and set-up afterwards... if you see in my thread in Z Media etc "Brilliant Blue Preview Pics", you'll see the car... But it now appears that I cannot do this as easily as I wanted because the MK 1 SAFC will not allow the doubling of the K value... so now I have 2 options of either leaving it be and stick with single or get the ECU chipped to run the Doolz!!

how are you tuning it afterwards? with the AFC?

If so, just stick a dual pop program in and you should be fine, or buy the SAFC II :)

Hmm slightly confusing findings, I removed one of the injector connectors to get a better look and the colour appears to be grey but it looks like there is feint blue colour wheer it may have worn off?? also looking at the other injectors through the clip are they appear to be blue... would a conzult check be the best way to confirm?

No, Consult won't tell you that, at least not directly. You could dissemble the map, but that takes some tools and knowledge. Do you know what map it has at the moment ?

ConZult DOES tell you the approximate injector size (calculated from the K value). Click on Engine from the startup screen, then ECCS Rom data ;)

Cheers,

Andy

So it does, I remember now.

LOL :D Handy having the ROM d/l option as well for those exotic roms you find on some cars LOL ;)

Will get it checked out from a friend who's got the Conzult, Thx:)
