ive noticed a few long time members are now reg users and not re-newing there subs :confused: now dont turn this thread into a platform for sounding off your dislikes of the way the clubs run thats not what this threads about,its a simple question of "do you guys think this place is worth 4 pennies a day??" i mean where the hell can you get real hands on advice,products,and service advice from the comfort of your home plus the banter and links ect :nono: so come on guys get your hands in your pockets and keep surporting a fantastic place for the 300zx owner

You have to remember that the majority of the long time members know shit loads about the Zed. So rather than come here for information, they come here to give information.

 

Most people that have owned a zed for 2 years or more, have probably taken thier engine out at some stage and put it back together themselves.

 

So it's not a question of paying the subs to get advice for them.

Paid up twice or is it three times I cant remember? From what I can see the clubs funds just sit in a bank account gathering dust and getting bigger and bigger each year. Not paying up again for that.

There is no comunity spirit here any more and does not feel like a club of any sorts now. Just a chat room like anywhere else on the net.

No it not worth 4p a day under the present circumstances

Whats owning a zed got to do with anything? Ive never owned one, doesnt stop me admiring the car, and meeting the fantastic people on this forum. its more than a forum, its a club, and next year is gonna be fantastic for club meets, I will make sure of it. :nono: ;) :D

I dont mind paying for something that gives me enjoyment and im still here all this time later, so the old place has something drawing us in!!

Well I think its money well spent.Even if I'm skint the club gets the cash.Its called support.

Like has been said, if you get something out then put something back in ;) I don't exactly come on here for technical advice :rofl:

 

I was speaking to Steve Burns last week and he told me they've had to drop the club magazine due to a serious lack of subscribed members. I find that quite sad since a lot of their members don't even use the internet site :(

not had a z now for over 4 years but i still visit daily just to see snippets from andy and paulg and i long to see the return of wozza and timmy and dare i say old bonfire *****x himself..............always guaranteed some on here but 4p a day for a tighwad like me without having a z is a no

most of the stuff you get acces to as subscribed is off topic and general discussion and Pms which are un z related anyway

I've been chucking money in to the pot for 5 years, (it was a pot once.... as been a member was optional, we just gave some dosh to help things along)

 

Being dunked out and in reg user land when I'm used to my subscribed member comforts,was not a pleasant experience for me

All the support over the years I've had from many, many people, £15 quid is nothing :D

This place is a second home to me (I've got the comfy sofa in the corner)

I guess it is, since they sent out the letter to all their subscribed members announcing that the magazine will no longer be published. It's a great shame because I think that was probably one of the strongest selling points they had, especially as many of their members are not big web users.

Exactly! I think Steve said they were down to about 350 paid up members? They could always send out another letter saying its back LOL. Maybe a joint venture needs some serious consideration? Would also boost the incentive for people to pay up on here ;)

I think theyre needs to be more incentive to subscribe, theyres not enough of a difference being subscribed and registered apart from ability to PM, Edit your posts, Sell items and Buy items.

 

Im not trying to lower club moral or anything like that, and for you people who dont have zeds and subscribe, then good on you. But for me thats not enough of a reason to dish out cash.

 

I know i sound like a complete tight arse, but with my financial postion at the moment, I have not choice but to BE a tight arse. £15 is 2 days travelling to work and back. Thats £15 that i could be spending on something i need as opposed to a "luxury" like this one.

 

I know its already has been said but theyre has got to be something that would attract more subs. I think ill spend this evening avoiding mind numbing repeats of "Americas next top Bint" a look into possible suggestions.

I pay subscriptions on here and Zclub because I like to see the clubs continue to operate, besides , the yearly subscription is a pittence in what i've saved over the years in doing stuff myself. If I had to go to nissan with a problem every time....££££££ ;)

The national events are not as good as they used to be IMHO.

 

And the club has £15,000 or so in the bank anyway. Does it really need a tenner or whatever from me?
