Just bought a CTek battery charger with an adaptor for the cigarette lighter

Problem is the adaptor for the ciggy lighter won't fit.

I'm guessing it's because the Jap cig lighters are different to UK ones. They don't seem as deep as normal UK ones.

Can anyone confirm this.

If they are different, is it possible for me to fit a UK version to my car?

Mine`s a J-spec but I`ve had no roblems with the cigar lighter socket ; I`ve used a mobile phone charger , sat-nav and two different makes of compressors for inflating tyres . Have you ever used anything else in your cig-lighter ?

ive had 3 j-spec zeds Steve and bits have allways gone in the ciggy lighter no probs

Same here.

Has the plug got a funny adaptor on the end ? Can be unscrewed perhaps ?

Think I've now got it working...don't ask how LOL

When it started charging, some electrics in the car are now lit up. These include the Profec B Boost controller and the temperature display. Could this be the reason why the battery is draining. They go out normally when I take the keys out and lock the door. Obviously the keys aren't in now but they are now on???
