Popped into Waitrose for some food, was in the car park, line of cars jostling for space. Some old boy in is Renault Scenic infront of me over at a funny angle. He spots a space and puts it into reverse, before I'd had time to select reverse and for the cars behind me to back up...CRUNCH!

 

I beeped the horn but I don't even think he'd realised he'd hit me. So got out, asked if he was ok and told him he'd hit my car. He said 'have I'? LOL. Anyway, he was quite nice and apologetic over it all and gave me all the details I needed. Told me he looked in his mirror and pointed to the one on the driver's side and said that he didn't see me. I said if he'd looked in his other one then he'd have certainly seen me filling up his mirror!

 

Only trouble is, it happened on private land, ie Waitrose' car park...so not sure a claim could be made? Anyone know?

Much nicer meat products there though that's why I do go there. The quality of beef and fish is very high. Much better than any other the other supermarkets and as good as the local butchers'.

 

It's not actually much more expensive to be honest. The meat products are because you buy a quality product. But general stuff is barely any different. Some stuff is cheaper! Some is more expensive. Swings and roundabouts. Sure, it's never going to compete with Asda, but that's not why you'd shop there, but prices aren't too dissimilar to Sainsburys on a lot of the more popular lines.

Netto is the supermarket for the less well off LMAO. Agree with you on quality of produce though!!!! Better to use a good butcher and green grocer - sick of buying shite from supermarkets and having to throw it out the next day because its gone off!!!! Trouble is finding a local one that the ******* supermarkets haven't closed down :rant:
