Ok I have decided to have my wheels refurbed and i want spacers to bring them out a bit to make them look better,

 

However i cannot decide what finish to go for, ideally chrome would be nice, but triple plated chrome would cost £1100,

 

I was thinking maybe either white, bronze or a glossy silver...

 

any suggestions and/or opinions would be great,

anthracite on a white car goes well, but why not change altogether?

The cars changed a lot since this was taken, but I still have the old alloys piled up against the back door, lol

in fact for what your gona spend having them sprayed, polished or whatever you wont be my shy of a decent set of rims.

True... if you're gonna spend hundreds on paint and getting them done... just get a set of new wheels ;) it will make a huge difference to the car.

 

The car looks really nice as it is now, but its the wheels that spoil it... Im not a fan of the originals

Danny, what you need to do with yours is fit camber correction arms. Fitting spacers on rims when you've got excessive negative camber due to old sagging springs is going to wear the inner front tyres out at quite a rate. I'd suggest a subtle drop, camber correction arms and the do your rims either high-power silver, shadow chrome, or get them chrome plated. I'd also consider painting the rear inner arches black and getting the arch liners and engine tray cleaned up of what looks like overspray.

 

I'd tend to go for a shadow chrome. Doing them anthracite will make the wheels look dull, although Paulbrem's car looks good. Anthracite only works really well with a split rim with a polished lip to bring definition to the wheel.

 

As for painting them bronze or white, that'll just look plain nasty IMHO. Have seen it done before and it's not great. Bronze rims can sometimes look good on a black car, but not a white one. Best to keep the colours neutral and to a minimum as it makes it more pleasing to the eye.

I have a complete set of UK wheels available. Some tyres OK, some just about legal (I think)

Hammerite them blue!!!!! With an old brush from the shed if you have one, preferably one that was not washed out properly after its last use.

If that's the case, then you gotta get them done in one of the darker shades, ie anthracitre / dark bronze, black... you'll be surprised with the visual impact it will make...

:rofl: Si, have you seen some of he Skyline's with the dark Bronze alloys, they look really good, it's the bronze used by Rota wheels, I think the colour is called Royal bronze or something...

There are 18"'s in the for sale forum for £150, get them!!

You want chromed TT rims (deeper dish rears)...Pakihomeboy over on 3ZC is selling a set. They are $550 which is about £265. Shipping will be about £100 and tax about £50. MUCH cheaper than getting yours refurbed.
