The lights on my Zed are OK ish but I'd like to upgrade from 'yellow' light to pure white and brighter - what's the score?

HIDs! Danny @ DTA does them for £100! lol

You mean Dan comes to your home and fits them for that price? That's amazing - I'll get on to him right away...................

....errr no. Fitting isn't exactly an 'issue'.

My screws are all fitted in Japanese so I'm not sure how they work :D :D

Look on E Bay mate. there are loads of them for sale and they are what they say they are "A cheap, but effective alternative to HiD's. But that said they will not give you the quality of light that you get from HiD's or Xenon.

if you have ordered hid kit and its a jap spec you will need the h3c fitment not the uk h3 fit

The kit I ordered is specifically for a Jap Zed apparantly.

Again - excuse my lack of knowledge - but do these HID kits work as a full high beam dipped beam unit - or is it only dipped beam on HID and you revert to the pathetic yellow main beams ??

I think dipped and main OEM lights are not up to the job.

If I want to 'enhance' main beam also but not go down the HID route for main beam what's asuitable upgrade bulb that won't blow fuses, melt glass etc?

Once you have HID dipped beam - you won't even need full beam. However if it bothers you, then yes you will need another kit for your full beams.

Thanks - but I was thinking maybe just upgraded main beam bulbs instead of a full HID kit for mains?

Is that possible - Xenons or something that will at least be better than the candles that are currently there?

my mains seem to be fantastic just on ordinary bulbs

Then my worst fears - the old eyes are going..................................

Just fit HIDs to the dipped beam - mains are a waste of time as the HID kit will mean you hardly use main beam.

Fit better H1 bulbs to the mains for super-bright night driving. Something like the new OSram +90% or Phillips +80% from here:
