Great Wedding, Great Honeymoon, but.......

We have just landed in Heathrow tonight after a long session of double bookings and cancellations.

Somewhere between Zurich and heathrow our suitcases were lost.

We lost everything :(.

All the pictures from our wedding (500+)

Our Marriage certificate

All our Wedding Presents

My Wifes Wedding Dress

All the Italian baby clothes we bought for our baby due at the end of October

All our best clothes and shoes

All our electrical supplies and cosmetics

we are a little upset to say the least :(

Im sure it will all turn up mate. At least you still have each other. Give it a couple of years and you will wish you had lost the wife

:headvswal that suprises me tbh, normally a v good airline... before the 9/11 terrorist attacks, with my airside pass i would have been able to hop on an easyjet to zurich and gone to find em myself but nowadays id have to buy a ticket and never get airside @ zurich.

there most likely going to be in the lost luggage holding area... the numpty baggage handler probably went too fast round a corner and dumped them on the floor... if they still have the tags on you should receive them, eventually! in the unlikely event that the tags were ripped off in the event then... :(

as said, keep badgering swiss air as with there reputation i would think they would help as best they can... i will ask at work 2nite if theres anything i can do as i kind of, sort of, nearly, ish, work for them ;)

of course its also possible of the same story but @ heathrow! who have you been in contact with so far and i know its a long shot but do you have photos of the case?

holy cheese batman

joking aside i fell terrible for you mate. realy hope it all works out and you at least get teh pictures back. the rest you can replace.

Heathrow is famous (infamous) for it. Most of them turn up after a couple of days.

jeez mate - thats bad news :( its not even like any insurance can make up for the loss of things like that. :(

Fingers crossed for you Stu - what a shedder...

I'm sure they'll turn up - hopefully in the next day or two!

Thats bad luck bud, thats got to be the upsetting to say the least, hope you get them back asap.

I noticed you said you went through double bookings and cancellations. I wonder if its possible your luggage has been put on another plane without you if there has been a lot of confusion at the Airport? Wonder if its possible for you to find this out?

Luggage has just arrived at Heathrow. Fook knows where it went.

But we should have it back later today apparently.

I'm chuffed, but not holding my breathe as there is nothing to say that the cases are still intact. For all I know they could have been opened, damaged or they may even be the wrong cases.

I'll let you know if and when they arrive.

Thanks all for the sympathy.

Thanks Tulip :).

All intact, a few squashed packs of Marlboro lights but apart form that it's all good.

I'll try and get a few pics up later tonight in the pictures section.

Thanks Tulip :).
