Hi People,

Does Anyone Know The Correct Rw Bhp For A Standard 1991 300zx Z32 Tt?

I Have Been Told It Is 280 At The Wheel, But Some People Say That It Is 280 The Flywheel, Thus Being About 220 At The Wheel.

Manufacturer figures when new....

NA...

222bhp US spec lhd

230bhp Jap spec rhd

TT...

263bhp UK spec auto

276 bhp UK spec manual

280bhp Euro spec manual

280bhp Jap spec man/auto

300bhp US spec man/auto

U.S. Twin Turbos get 300 at the flywheel!

Manual twin turbos get 300 horsepowered engines, and they can sure hit that 300 rating on the flywheel as well. USA rocks dudes!

An that's a fact jack!

My 300zx twin turbo manual has a 300 hp engine!

Another fact jack!

UK Auto's 268??? HMMMMMMMM that doesn't make my 262fwhp figure to far out, but im still only at 7PSI

You lot sure 7 psi on a uk auto's safety boost????????

If not then ive got no probe, boost controller and chip here i come!!

Wow the chick is freaking hot!!!

You are hilarious.

And that's a fact jack.

The USA models needed more power to carry the extra weight of their ego's.

And thats a fact Harry... :)

jack russell

jack the ripper

black jack??

LOL! am sure different press releases in different countries make up for all the different HP figures.

mechanically they are all the same im sure (i know the autos have different AR Tubs & cams) comaring like for like models. so the only difference would be in the mapping. USA fuel is watered down so would have thought their maps would have been lower power compared to good ol Great Britains fuel (national anthem starts playing ;) :D )

regardless most cars are running a chip of some sort now so largely depends on what maps & boost you are running!

I think the USA cars would hav been mapped at the factory for the 92/3 ron used out there. + The 280bhp figures were based on the voluntary agreement wouldn't have been an isssue for the US and Euro Models as they were built on a different production linr to the RHD cars. So I believe the 300bhp standard Us setup as it makes sense. + The UK Cars were made on the same line as the Jspec so I can't see them fitting different ECU's for cars destined for the UK.

Obviously clever dick here doesnt understand how to edit posts...

*IF* the US version was sooooo much more powerfull then why the **** are all you guys trying to get hold of j-spec engines???

Same cams, same tubs, same everything - only difference is USA is full of BS regarding power figures, so they had to increase the quoted figures so you wouldn't think your daily runabout was more powerfull ;)
