Anyone know if there is a quick way to find a ride or must you trawl page by page to find the users car you want to view??

People refer to rides in varius posts but i seem to have to trawl through this section rather than searching for a 'user id' as a key word like i do in other sections for example.... Any advice?

Mike...You must be the Brains of the forum?!!

If you find 'Rides' in advanced search let me know?...It was indeed a genuine question requiring an answer...I'm not a total newbie on here

Since losing the "rides" Icon in everyones posts some time ago, only way i know is as you say mate, go to rides page and scroll them all ! a bit naff really, unless someone in the know, knows better ??

smithy

go to the rides section and then on your keyboard press ctrl and f which will bring up a find box then type in the username of the person whose ride you want to find then press find next

I do believe that you have to hunt through all the pages.

Some people put links to there rides in there sig, as i have, click on the photo.

Other than that since the problem with the rides section the icon has not been put back.

My way works best give it a try it's much quicker than scrolling pages upon pages :smash:

That is great.

It is not part of the forum but a general search on the IE page.

Thanks I may end up using that a lot.

Yeah, it's a shame that part of the rides section hasn't been fixed. Nothing wrong with putting a link in your signature I guess.

I do love a know it all....!! ( :smash: :smash: should be :xxx: :xxx: )......based on my limited 9 years IT experince, you can use Contol +"F" for an active/modal page or window, but if i want to find 'stricker' for example, who's not on the first page, then I still have to scroll through a potential 546 pages of rides pages in the hope he might be in the first 3-5 and its still a laborious task :duffer:

...Thanks for your efforts anyway guys but it appears a no no....Really needs a sort of the rides table data based on user number, which would be helpful, so we could view a profile from any post and then search based on records per page, and guestimate to the right page at least.....

There are only 6 rides pages !

Its certainly not idea, but it does'nt take long to find somebody....I expect whoever will take over from Mike Groves will have it on his list of changes to be made.

IF you are going to use Ctrl and F, then use this URL into your web browser

http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbgarage.php?do=list&perpage=200

IF you want to be a bit more specific, go into members list (or find a post by that member), hover over their name/link to thier profie........down in the status bar at the bottom of the page you will see

http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/member.php?u=(A NUMBER)

then paste this url - replace A NUMBER with theirs.....

http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=(A NUMBER)

Hmm, you can see from the reflection on the last photo that there's two massive lumps on the top of his head. :nono: That doesn't look right man...

LMAO looks like a lego man.
