i have managed to source a gearbox, my car is an import auto TT and wondered what i would be looking at for fitting ?

Well the average cost of doing a clutch is around the 200 quid mark, so a simple gearbox off and then back on, i'd say around 150 quid for cash, it really isn't a tech jobbie and most back street garages will easily do it.

Just ring around - it's pretty straightforward... could even do it yourself if you could get to a pit/ lift...

Much the same I'd say? There's not much to it. Think about doing the prop bearing at the same time if it hasn't already been done. Also the rear crank seal.
