I am not concerned about the noise they make but would they help in keeping the turbos in good nick etc. Any feedback gratefully received.

Hi bud, welcome to the club :)

You don't need dump valves as these cars are fitted with re-circulating valves as standard, which put the air back into the car instead of releasing it into the atmosphere which is why you get the pssst noise.

I am actually going to bin my leaky dump valves next week and put my re-circs back on.

yeah they are just added for sound i think, not a necessity and from what i can gather noise aside no point fitting aftermarket

Hello 'Old Git' another one here!!-forget the BOV's- if you want the tubs to last do regular oil/filter changes with good quality oil, will do more good than dump valves ever will! ;)

You don't need one at all as they don't do anything other than make a sound like a HGV airbrake release.

Well that`s sorted then, Thanks to all of you who responded,I can spend my money on the next oil change,as soon as I`ve worked out the appropriate oil grade(more homework)

no need for shit valves, sounds better with no recirculation, however bad for turbos that way
