A big hello to you all

I have been the proud owner of a uk spec tt auto for about 3 weeks now and i love it. The problem i have is the tyres that are on it at the moment are budget ones and are rubbish! So i am after some advice on what tyres suit the zed the best. I am running on the standard alloys if that makes any difference.

Cheers

Matt

I love my Falken 451's (now replaced by the 452) and they're a great price :)

I've tried all sorts and I think they're as good as the Bridgestones I used to pay a fortune for.

Pirelli P-zeros every time, medium compound, superb grip, but do wear a little easier than others when warm (they go farily soft).

Wet driving and dry tho they give amazing grip.

265 45 18's were around 120 each from a decent local dealer, although they fetch upward of 160 in most joe blogs garages.

Other than that I would go with Uniroyal rainsport Z rated or Falkens...

ive got bridgestones, will never go back!!!

used to run falkens but, i was changing them every 4 months!!!!

bridgestones arnt that expensive when you know where to look

Car had Khumo's when I bought it and handling was terrible.

Just changed to Bridgestone SO2's and now handles miles better. £600 a set though but that's not alot more than you'll pay for mid range tyres and deffo worth it.

I have Dunlop SP's.

So do I and I am pretty impressed with them.

I always used Goodyear GSD3s - which were amazing but only lasted 5 mins. The Dunlops are still very good in all conditions, are reasonably priced for a premium brand and they have lasted very well so far......

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Rubber ones

Cant believe no-one else took the carrot :D

Goodyear F1's GSD3's have always had a good repuation but I would recommend Falken 452's, you just cant beat the performance for the price, easily as good as the F1's but more keenly priced.

I,ve got the Falcon,s on the front and Bridgestone Potenza on the back , these are awsome tyres , won,t wheelspin hardly now just grips :hyper: :hyper:

toyo's arnt good try the likes of the mich' pilot sport much better grip... wet or dry. If my memory serves me right the zx came out of the showroom with bridgstones???? really good tyers but a tad expensive I have cheapies on the back of mine!!!!! on when bought and they have turned out to be ok lol. But then again i couldnt prove it coz it's auto box has gone!!!

toyo 888's for me - superb grip but too soft if its your daily drive

regards,

alex

No disrespect to the person who started it, but is he any better off I wonder?

How, I wonder, can one person say Toyo's are great, and then someone else says they are bad. I am not taking sides here as I have no exp with Toyo's.

Just my thoughts.

Had Toyo T1R's on my RX, pretty good grip but would squeel a little under very heavy braking. The stickiest tyre I know is the Bridgestone which also has the stickiest ratings if you read independent reviews.

Flaken 452's 245 on front at 285 on rear... Excellent price and ware rate, used to have falken 451's and they lasted me 3 years and thats with some heavy driving! 452's are well grippy and lot better than the Toyos T1's I was running before... Same grip level but the Toyos ware rate ran out quiet quickly...

Just went out in the summer downpour, heavy rain, my son was driving, gave it a good bootfull, not max but quite fast, in a straight line didnt unstick the rears. 452 Falken's. They are good.

265/30/19. SWB TT manual. Standard boost.
