there's no grinding noises or anything, just refuses to change up from 2'nd. Not a good sign I know. I've done the workshop manual ecu test and all 10 lights flash normal so im thinking it's a mechanical problem. Is there anything else i could check? grasping at straws I know.....

I've taken a lot on board and I will go for a transplant soon when finances allow (story of my life). I'm in great form now :nana2:

Great news - a good decision IMO

URGENT... Please can someone help me, please!!! I'm trying to locate/contact a guy called 'Martyn' who is has disappeared along with my beautiful ZX (TT). I haven't had any contact with him since Jan. 07. He used to run a garage in LINCOLN (in the north of England) and also in HORSHAM. Please can someone help me, just want my car back, doesn't matter if its fixed or not. Please can you contact me on 0777 349 52 61 if you have any information. Thank you.

Had this happen twice on two cars. Leave it over night and 9 times out of 10 it sorts itself out.

If not, check the voltage on the TPS it can cause the gears to hold 1st and 2nd and go no higher.

New TPS solved my problem.

so is it working okay now? Or are you saying you are in great form... Not the car :)

If and when i get hold of the suitable parts for a manual conversion, if you are still interested in an auto box, mine was reconditioned 15k ago... :)
