Ok now i am as Tech knowledgeful as an Elephant so i dont know if whats goin on is normal or me or the car!I have been told car was De-limited so when i put m foot down its all well and good till about 125mph then its like i hit a power wall then after half a second i keep going till 140mph then i hit another 1!Im running stock boost with Greddy boost control! If that helps!

Any ideas on what is going on with this or is it normal?

Also Racing a Scooby what should be the outcome on a drag strip? As i raced 1 on a Dual carrigway to 120 and he Won but only by like 1 car length! Both running bout the same power!SHould i have won??Have i put the 300zx name to shame??? :(

Thanks All

If you are running the same power then I'd imagine the scooby would win because of 4wd and being lighter. It's a lot harder to launch a RWD properly, 4wd boys just put there foot to the floor and keep talking to their missus on their mobile.

Not sure about the power loss at those speeds, its a bit odd. Sounds like either something with the limiters, or a strange safety boost problem, may be completely wrong though?

hey Munny

Twin Turbo ? ...what does the boost gauge say at the time ..i.e when you feel this "wall" ..does it appear to be drifting in and out of safe mode ?

Yeah got the Twin Turbo!Boost guage is at like 0.9!I duno it just hits a wall then starts accelerating again!Didnt think wzas a Safe mode as if i floor it in 2nd or anythin theres no probs at all jus raw power!

Should i be worried??

You say you got a Greddy boost controller fitted. what Chip and injectors have you got? You may be trying to run too much boost on the stock injectors and chip if these havent been upgraded? No point fitting a boost controller on stock chip unless its to over ride a faulty det senser. Just a thought as you dont mention any other mods. I think its to do with the boost controller

Is it hungry or something?

:nelson.

lol o yeah silly me what a tw@t :smash:

now been corrected

Nearly as bad as the 'Cosmetic' head gasket we had the other month! hehe. Just makes me chuckle. Little things please little minds and all that.

Well seeing as i just bought the car not too hot on whats been done but i have been informed its on an Uprated ECU and the Boost control were both put it 2owners ago n boosyt control is on stock settings!Dont know bout the injectors nothing in paperwork so i assume same as standered! I feel like an idiot not knowing these things about my car :(

i wouldnt worry about not knowing things about your car, im the 9th owner of mine and its on its 3rd reg plate i think.... so the history is a potted mess of paperwork that doesnt really make sense.

Iv had it nearly 6 months and it was onl a month ago i found what the big red switch on the dashboard does. Rear fog as it happens.

Most people unless they find a standard one spend as much time finding out what has been done to their car, as fixing it! LOL

you said boost gauge showing 0.9, this must be an aftermarket gauge, and 0.9bar is not stock, stock is 0.6bar.
