Dont know whether you guy's have read my thread on fuel consumption but I took it for a long hard run last night while the weather was nice and when the engine got hot it lost an awful lot of power the car reved up to high for the power it was giving out. Pulled up at the pub as you do! let it cool down then the power was back???? has anyone had similar problems in the past.?

Is it an auto or manual? sure its not a auto gearbox/manwell clutch related issue?

its an auto and yes its come into my head but I have absolutley no experience with auto boxes! my last zed was auto but never had a problem all the time I had it.

Do they have clutch's as such any info on this and how I could check it would be very appreciated as the car is really doing my nut at the mo!!

are you sure you never went into "safe boost" because it clears after every fresh start ;)

Do an ECU code test :

done ane cu test and everything is fine, I think more and more that its the clutch How much are the for the auto and how difficult are they to fit??

No clutch on an auto mate, but if there's a hydraulic fluid pressure problem you get the same problem as you mentioned. When I had my first Zeds auto box rebuilt I went to overtake someone and it just revved real high when I was parrellel with them and I lost power. Gave me a scare as there was a car coming the other way as well. Took it back and they sorted it for me.

Check autobox fliud level.

And colour, and smell could have bands slipping or burning out

It was my mistake the transmission fluid was full,

now if the radiator hoses are really bad and when you squeeze them you hear a cracking sound could the water flow b blocked and could this cause safety boost to go on when hot???

been trying to get intouch with duffy all day but to no great effect
