Anybody got a list of what is tested at MOT?

IIRC somthing like 75% of all MOT fails are for light and tyre related issues...simple things easy to check but many don't bother before putting the car in...HTH

Front steering rack gaiters is a common fail .

Spent all night fixing niggly faults!

 

Bad earth on a front fog so had to open it up and run a new earth to chassis.

Rear number plate light out so replaced.

Changed my headlights as I was using one HID and one normal bulb LOL (trader sent me a faulty HID kit then went bust)

Battery wasn't fixed down so replaced the clamps.

Fitted a new horn as my old air horn compressor had seized due to no use.

Rear fog switch had stopped working but a few presses got it sorted.

 

Fingers crossed I've booked it in for tomorrow :)

A couple of those faults arent part of the test, but its always better to have everything working anyway !!

ohhh and ive got a few manuals on the MOT test (for some funny reason) unable to download them but if your looking for any advice on the test PM me

My HICAS eliminator had some incorrect parts so they couldn't align the rear wheels after fitting it so they've had to fail it until the parts arrive next week but other than that it sailed through :)
