Had a quick search on this one, but doesn't give me much info on my symptoms.

Now, the car runs fine usually, but occasionally, I'll have a hesitation on full boost somewhere between 3 and 5rpm. Now, it always clears. IE, it boosts, then holds back and at a certain point will come on full boost again.

Doesn't always do it either. Have checked for possible boost leaks and all looks ok.

when you say "it boosts, then holds back " does it "hold back" at around the Safe mode or even before then ?

Thanks for the info Greg.

Yeah, it boosts up to about 5psi which is safety boost...so safety boost is cutting in for some reason.

check the dett sensor connectors Si, or could even be a faulty sensor  the fault should clear on the next "start" untill it does it again. you could bypass with a 1mohm resistor to see iff you have the same symtoms and this will confirm connector os sensor prob hth ;)
