Never understood that. Why not just buy another car. Owner obviously hated the looks of it so much that they had to graft on parts from other not-so nice looking Japanese cars.

Fair play, lots of work involved, but so was there in building the millenium dome. Doesn't mean to say it actually looks good.

That rear spoiler looks terrible, so do the lights. Why on earth has he trimmed the dashboard on primary school canteen carpet?

AND it's an N/A auto! lol ;)

That is nasty, every last bit of it.

Hi,

That's a really old one!....I remember posting up pics of it a few years ago on the Z Club site...

Jez.

Hi,

Let's hope it's been broken for spares then! LOL Although can't imagine it would be worth anything in spare parts other than the engine detiling stuff.

Christ, we've got that carpet in our kitchen and don't like it. I'd be devestated if I had it on my dashboard as well.

Its called modernising, manafacturers do it aswell, look at lamborghini they grafted 300zx lights onto their Diablo as part of a facelift. I think it takes alot more imagination to update your car this way than to just stick a few 99 spec bits on. Nissans update of the 300zx was a bit poor IMHO. Im not saying this actually looks nice, though it looks far more modern than even a 99 spec z. Only thing that left me scrathing my head was why spend all that money on a NA auto.

I agree, not my cup of tea but imaginative.

in a different colour it might not be as bad, and the reat spoiler is the veilside c2 one....same as mine , which doesn't look as bad as that lol

It still looks shit regardless and most seem to agree. Would rather it looked its age than looked like that.

Also...I had no idea that gluing bits of school carpet to the dash and fitting a chrome steering wheel from the 50s was 'modernising'.

The 300zx didn't need modernising though did it. Most agree, it's aged so well. Who would want to loose the original lines and shape of the car. Most wouldn't.

Regardless of imagination. Some would say that 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' used imagination. Other would argue that large quantities of Acid were involved!

Here is a write up about the car

You'd never expect the sleepy town of Greenville, South Carolina, to be the place to find hot Euros, but Jon Fulmer would disagree. For the past few years, Jon and his wife, Allison, have been building killer customs and turning heads. In the case of Jon, it was this smoking hot '90 Nissan 300ZX. The Nissan is a great foundation for any clean Euro, and Jon had a plan. He went nuts on the car, winning Best Paint awards all over the place. It was also featured a little over a year ago in a feature with his wife's Accord, as well as in one of our "Road Trippin' " articles. Back then, the car was purple, had stock headlights and was cool, but not quite what it is today. Then one day, Jon decided to tear it all apart and start over. A little over a year later out it came, looking as you see it here.

Jon's a busy guy. He runs a skating rink in town, works seven days a week, usually late at night, and is married with a child. With a schedule like that you'd wonder how he gets the time to do all of this work! The short answer is, he doesn't. Jon does what he can when he can, but some of the work he farms out to his trusted body shop, Sculpture Works in Anderson, South Carolina. This time around everything went crazy. The body kit was molded in, cut up and reshaped from various other parts, and pretty much everything was shaved, Frenched or smoothed out. Looking under the hood, it's no surprise that chrome and paint make everything glisten. All in all, the car is a true show winner and is taking more trophies than it did in its previous incarnation.

Jon's a busy guy, and he's still got more in the works. Rumor has it he's even got a mini-truck kickin' it in his backyard. Busy, busy, busy. Jon would like to thank his sponsors Axis wheels, Redline Racing, Impact Parts, Injen, Aerogear, Versus Motorsports, Foothills Automotive, Addi's Upholstery, Sculpture Works, and everyone in his club, Relaxed Atmosphere.
