Im interested in a set of dump/blow off valves for the TT. This is my first Turbo'd car and was wondering what other people are using. Really im interested in that Flutter sound more than the air phshhhhh. Is that something to do with wastegates?????

Oh by the way there the latest ones from TurboXS.I have a set coming as I had the older ones and sold them and fitted HKS SQ ones (Big Mistake)So going back to these ;)

If you want BOV's then the the TurboXS ones are the loudest - I have them on mine as well.

But...

They make the psssshhhhhh sound LOL not the fluttering noise.

I think to get that you need some fancy wastegates which is a major job and I've never heard a Z set up to make that noise :confused:

Ive only ever heard the flutter on single turbo conversion Z's.. I think in order to get the flutter you need somekind of special/certain turbo setup as well as the bov/bovs but im only going from what ive read on other forums.

The flutter is air breaking up as it trys to make its way though the turbo backwards, stalling the impellors. Its not a good thing. Bypassing the stock recircs and running without them or Bovs should give you the sort of noise you want.

Thats the noise!!!! Shame its not good for the engine then.

i got the HKS super SQV too, they sound ok if im on half boost but just get a perthetic pf when on full boost, and they dont have the adjustment nut at the back like i've seen on some of them.

There's that single turbo soft top that flutters then dumps the air isn't there?? Can't remember where i saw it??

I think they are supposed to be adjustable. :confused: very confused now.

Bare in mind theres a lot of BOV's labeled as HKS out there that really ain't, so could possibly explain why some have adjustemnt and some don't ?

got mine from Sumo power, cost over 500 quid for the pair, and they have all the authentic HKS paperwork in the box
