Hello all,

 

Just a brief update on the ConZult situation ...

 

I have the sole sale rights in the UK for this soft/hardware package and will be selling exclusively through ZedWorld (JeffTT). At the moment we are evaluating the UK-spec/Jap-spec issues as well as awaiting the propper Consult connector/leads. This will probably take another week to 10 days to get sorted after which a general announcement will be made on this forum to inform you of pricing and availability (delivery times, etc).

I ask for your patience & understanding over the coming two weeks so that we may develop a piece of invaluable software that will work properly on both UK and Jap spec cars.

A while ago we were all informed about this software and told it would be available to us. Now we have a sole UK distributer, obviously someone has broke their necks to get to Eric first and strike up a deal behind the forum members backs to ensure every copy must be bought through them.

If this is what has happened then it stinks!!

Hi guys, just in response I know we are all eager to get hold of this software but it does need testing before money changes hands otherwise Eric and Danny could be then open to critism for any problems with it.

 

No dirty dealing or underhand tactics have been used to secure the "sole rights" it was (as I understand) possibly just a more convenient way for Eric to deal with one contact rather than 600! (I guess)

 

I do think as well the price will still reflect that this product was created with the forum guys in mind,I doubt very much it will be any dearer than dealing on a one system purchase direct.

 

Anyhow hope that clears it up, unless Danny want`s to add anything?

I didn't see this thread earlier, since I don't browse the general forum that often anymore (because of all the general 'crap' that is posted here )

 

To answer Andy's and Warren's question: Ofcourse you're free to buy the conzult communication-interface from whoever you want.

Be it Zedworld, GR-racing or from me directly.

I just thought it would be much more convenient for you to have a point of distribution in the UK, instead of ordering it from us (since shipping costs will drive up the price)

So I agreed with Danny that he and Jeff could be the distributors for the UK..

It's also true that it needs to be tested on UK/J-spec cars first, since that hasn't been done yet..I don't expect there will any problems, but you never know.

 

Anyway...the software part of the ConZult will be free and is already available for download here:

It won't work without the interface, but at least you can have a sneak preview at all the features

Warren, AndyD & anyone else: Of course you can buy elsewhere but please bear in mind that this software has not yet been fully tested on UK & J-spec cars. Therefore we can not fully guarantee that the product will work and you may be parting with money for a partially operating product. So far we haven't found any problems but as with any product on the market, it must first be fully tested!

 

As stated earlier, I expect testing to be completed by the end of next week at which time we will immediately start with the sales. Prices to be announced at that time - discounts for group buys of course! (that's 5 units or more ordered at one time).

 

Just one final note: There has not been any under handed/behind the forum's back dealings with regards to the sale of ConZults. I know Eric very well as we are both Dutch and offered (a long time ago) to do the UK distribution for him - he agreed. This means that YOU, the customer, are guaranteed the lowest possible price because of economies of scale. And like buying any product, you have many options as to where you buy from - just beware of the transportation & tax/duty costs.

 

I hope this clears up any misunderstandings and sets the right atmosphere for the sale of this extremely useful and invaluable product.
