I have just got off the phone to Shunter, and he is busy at work and will post up later, but he has asked me to stress to everyone, that if they have a grievance with him or any of the commitee, then they should address it with them direct via PM, and not starting threads, with the intention of insiting War. if this carry's on then the member responsible will be BANNED, no matter who they are.

 

When will a thread be edited or deleted?

* Swearing: Whilst the censored versions of swearing (e.g. s**t, etc) are usually considered OK, offensive / overuse of this may offend and may be moderated.

* Xenophobia, racism or personal abuse

* Incitement to a flame war within this or another forum * The advertising and sale of illegal bootleg material (such as copyrighted video, music and computer software)

* Spam or any other form of unauthorised advertising.

* Invasion of an individual’s privacy.

* Anything that is deemed as potentially libelous.

* Flagrant disregard for the interests of the community (anti community spirit)

* Sensitive content that cannot be moved, locked edited.

in my opinion the commitee need to stop telling people what to do and abide by their own rules, equally name calling and so called slagging off behind peoples backs in the mod room is just immature and childish and is obviously gonna lead to problems..

Incitement to a flame war LOL read that as anything (god forbid) said against the committee! After last nights events I can see this as being only the beginning. This place has turned rediculous! The comments made in the little private mods forum against the members on here are childish - if you want to say something to someone then say it to their face???!!!??? Deleting posts that bring the truth to light and banning members who post them just isn't acceptable. No doubt you'll all be having a good laugh in your forum about it right now. Good luck to you all I'm glad to say I actually have a life!!!

Saz was accidentally given slightly too high user rights allowing her to see the mod forum - basically what the committee think of their members (not much). Basically used as a room for slagging everyone off behind their backs...

Hmmm well i'm glad i'm not subscribed anymore.

Thats a pretty poor show, you cant have a dig at them but they can sit behind closed doors and do it to you - surely the AUP must apply to all.

This is what happens when I go away for a week!

I think it is about time iu explained the full story.

 

I was approached toi see if i wanted to be REO for South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire, I was very flattered and accepted.

 

It was decided a repeat of last years Ferrybridge meet was in order, and in my new role i was granted permission to view the regional events organiser forum.

 

Unfortunately they allowed me a little more access than they anticipated infact i had full access to the mods forum.

 

I had lodged a complaint about certain aspects and attitudes of the club, i hasten to add that this was politley worded but straight to the point.

 

I noticed my complaint posted in the forum and took it upon myself to have a look, after all they had given me access so as far as i knew there was nothing a miss.

 

The response to my complaint was i needed to get off my high horse and that im nothing but an attention seeking waste of space.

 

which another comittee member responded to by saysing, "yup most of the committee agree.

 

I was very upset by this and understandably felt compelled to get the matter addressed. I pmd a committee member, my response was "eaves droppers only here bad things about themselves"

 

And an apology that i was given too many admin rights

 

I might be an attention seeking waste of space but personally i am Man (even though im a WOMAN) enough if i have a problem with someone to try and sort it out face to face.

 

 

If we should abide by an AUP its a bit Ironic moderators have Carte blanche to say whatever they feel fit about paying members, because they got their own little private world to do it in!"!

Tell her to "put-up or shut-up"/I have no time for her anyway/She's an attention seeking waste of space..... These are the people that are supposed to be looking after the members!!!!!!! So basically if the mods don't like you there's not much point in being around here :rolleyes: So much for the role of moderator/committee member being an unbiased un-opinionated position....

I may be missing something here but surely if this post is having a pop at someone in a non-friendly way, it is a breach of the AUP?

 

Seems a bit rich that the members are being told to stick to the AUP in commenting on this issue, when a potential infringement of it caused this whole problem in the first place...

OK this is getting silly again.

 

The rules are in place to stop the club from being held responcible legaly for things said, done or traded.

 

what is said in a committee meeting should legaly be available to all members, furthermore and this is legal. The club committee has NO RIGHT to stop people from seeing anything held electronicaly and that includes a forum such as this.

 

That said and done.

 

We have been here before, if any of you guys thik you can do a better job then step up to the plate. If not, try "voicing" your opinions in another fasion.
