How have other people removed these? I have a pair ready to go on but I'm a bit stumped in removing the old ones as it looks rather tight for a spanner. Do they just unscrew?

Cheers

Get some help, that boot is bloody heavy and doing the fitting of new struts yourself is going to be a bitch without any help!

Ah, just engaged my brain and yeah it's not gonna hold it is it :smash:

Been using it for a while but obviously with the old struts. They don't hold the boot open but they're obviously taking the weight arn't they!!!!

This is why it's good to think things through!! Like the time I bought a fridge without measuring the gap it was going into! World of trouble that.

Thanks for spotting the obvious for me! I owe you both a drink for saving me the brain damage :duffer:

also theres a weight in the boot lid. take off the centre cover and there's an oblong weight just off centre right about 3-4 pound in that!!!!

I supported mine by putting a large sponge on my head and resting the rear hatch on it.Not one of my best ideas I must admit. :) But got the job done  Think I will stick with Blinging.
