Have to disagree with you there Brian.

Since New Year, the forum has never been busier. Majority of days we have over 200 members logging on during the day. Can't think of another car club/forum with as much activity, on a regualr basis.

Granted, all the threads/posts might not be what you are interested in but surely that's the way it's always been. You can't expect every post to be right up your street.

useless threads :nelson: whoever would spam the place up with useless threads :nono:

Oi!!! You haven't got time for any Spam posts these days :nono: :nono:

You're far too busy breaking in your new stallion :D :D

they are also not the be all and end all of a club.

well we've done alright without them for this long without the forum folding so i agree lol

Duffer, you disappoint me lad!!!

Sarah, There's no way you should find time, you can't have him broken all ready

i sort of agree with Znut (Brian)

i must admit that certain posters i dont tend to read as i know they are going to be same old same old (thats not a slagging, just me) and then you know the same people are going to be jumping in, taking the thread to where it always goes, as i say fair enough as we keep being told we don't have to read, so i don't lol

just annoys me the minute its something THEY don't like it is suddenly SHITE

ie one example football, so whats good for the goose :p

then we have the "good to speak to you one the phone 3 minutes ago, wasn't that funny" lol NOPE not if you wern't on the phone ;)

some silly points BUT im sure you will find others, may find it hard to make a post about something knowing they are going to maybe jumped all over by the "clique" :nelson: (not heard that one before have we lol)

as has been said we get this at least once twice a year, but some should actually read what others are typing and not be ready to be ready with the instant put down at every turn, and if its something your not interested in find a thread to jump on, as i say not a slagging just an observation

i also think that way more people would feel easier about attending the meets, speaking for myself although i've met a few from the forum, the days when they are on i am at my most busiest, just to entice those who may feel nervous it should start on THE FORUM;)

This was the reason why I pushed to have the old Zed Discussion forum split into three new forums, to seperate the NZR stuff from the Zed/Car/Club stuff.

Unsure why members feel this is still an issue, when the threads are now in completely different forums.

not an issue to me m8, BUT i'll bet 95% don't know the diference between NZR and off topic, hence you will see some complaining their post was moved

yet others in the same vain stay where they are, but personally i don't care where they are, as i said i have the option of reading them or not, and that part was just a small part of my reply to Brians post ;)

The stupidist thing is the "guess what happened / guess what i got today?" type threads. then people that keep them going with equally stupid comments, too much of that crap,

and as for t-pot, good riddance to bad rubbish and all you double agents that go running to him every time he's mentioned on here, why dont u go join him permanent and swell their regular members to 7 bwahahha.

did,nt want this thread to turn sour  just pointing out that the old place seems a little dead of late. thanks for comments upstairs and downstairs just goes to show a lot of heads log-on and look through the curtains as opposed to knocking on the door and coming in :D

In reply to paulg,s comment ive done a little FBI work and noticed theres a few members here who run with the foxes and the hounds in relation to "other" forums not that theres a problem with being a member of 10 clubs iff you want ;) :D

As a relative newbie it can feel quite intimidating at times when your up against members with 1000's of posts. I log on all the time, but it's mainly to read existing posts, to try and learn more about the car, or if I can help anyone with technical stuff, then I will.

But before I started my own thread I'd make sure there was zero chance of being shot down in flames first. Need another 800 odd posts before I felt comfortable joining in day to day.

Don't know if others feel the same or if it's just me.

Mate, I believe in Quality NOT Quantity, It doesnt matter how many posts you have bud, its whats in the content, Alot of members have posted rubbish to get there counts up. I have more respect for a member that has been coming on here for 5 years with 2000 posts, than someone who has 8000 posts over 18 months :x: :)

It can seem like that in the begining, i think its not untill you start going to a few meets and people start to get to know you as a person rather than a post, no one has anything to relate to you with, a lot of older members know each other outside the forum because they have been around a lot longer and have met each other a few times, so can relate to each other on here, which is why it may seem clique in the beginning to a newbie

no need to feel like that mate, its generally the assholes tha put new members off! and if you check there track record you would see what i mean, best thing is to just get involved, theres alot of good people on the forum :) and dont be afraid to ask

regards,

greg

Well I Post What I Feel Like Posting And My Post Count Is High Because Of Iffy Posts And I Do Not Care Because This Is A Good Place To Be!!! The Banter Is The Best Part About It

Thats your choice I suppose.

Just like its your choice to use a capital letter at the begining of each word instead of each sentence!
