he loved it and never shut up about it, anyway his uncle(uncle nobby you know the kind) came over, and he told him about the car etc. WELL! his uncle has had every supercar and superbike known to man of course he drives round in a Montego at the moment( no one ever sees these bikes or cars but hay ho!)

 

and his response Hairdressers car lol :D

 

anyway I came back from the bar, to listen to the shit coming out of his mouth.

 

I asked him about his great cars hes owned and quickly turned the subject round to cars Ive owned at my early age of 23 lol!! 300zx SWB tt at 19 years old, Mk indy R1 at 21 Megabusa 22-23 All backed up by the people around me and just bought the 300zx tt to get to and from work whilst I build another kit . he then left the pub :D twat!

Lol, I had someone say that about the Rx7 when I first got it. I told them its done 0-60 in under 4 seconds, easily tops 170mph and more, and has a spritely 535bhp and he hasn't mentioned it since. The same guy said something similar about my old Zed so I showed him the Jtuner feature :-) , he never learns!

I had a taxi driver ask me what the car was on my drive the other week.

He kept saying what a gorgeous car it was and I said well that's because I've spent thousands on it and put lots of work into it over 7 years.

Told him a few specs etc and he was like "Wow!" "Awesome!" etc

Then he came out with "They're not worth much now though, you should sell it" :confused:

boss at my work, just bought a (2nd hand) Jag XK8R, he gave the odd comment about how great his car was and how it would kill mine............ :rant:

Brilliant lol! My missus uncle spent silly money (60k?) on a new XK had it for a couple of years paying back a huge monthly loan amount. When he sold it back to the garage recently he got 5k back!!!

i find it difficult to talk to new people and seeing as i love my cars i use them as my main topic of conversation.

 

saves just standing there looking like an ignorent fooker when am only trying to find a common interest with somebody so i can join in with the conversation.

agree with all comments. every man and his dog have had or know somebody who has a (so called) better car than me . ive had a few nice motors but my 16 year old zed beats the lot. im only in my first six months of owning a zed. having my problems now and again, but i love my zed. i spend the money on her to keep a smile on my face!! every tom, dick or harry has an evo, scooby etc. dont see many zeds do you! classic!

i agree. there are so many people with a 'better' car than mine but i don't care. my car is my car and i love it more than than i love my girlfriend (she is aware of this). i just love talking to a fellow petrolhead. don't care if its 16 yrs old. my brother now has my dads triumph tr6 (1971) and the sound of te 2.5l straight six is all you need. every car should be taken on its merits. even poopras!!

I enjoy hearing about other peoples cars myself I find it's quite a turn on, but then I'm a bit of a petrolhead :o :x: :D
